This isn’t the 1st-Time that People committed Suicide, as an “Act-Of-Resistance”. However, when there’s Peoole whom co-sign Suicide via any Form: that’s a Serious-Problem. It’s especially problematic if when Fellow-Muslims co-sign Suicide. Suicide is a Kibār/Major-Sin via al-Islām. And, there’s never any Islāmic-Entitlement/Justification for anyone to commit Suicide. Someone whom I personally know, Hassan Shibly, posted a Video of Aaron Bushnell Moments prior to them setting themselves ablaze…that’s what led to their Self-Demise. I was highly triggered & angered, that so many Persons via Hassan Shibly’s Page audaciously lauded the Self-Destructive Actions of Aaron Bushnell: it was utterly disgusting to say the least. I even commented on Hassan Shibly’s Post, addressing the Fact that Suicide is Islāmically-Prohibited & anyone encouraging the Actions of Aaron Bushnell are Irresponsible.
Moreover, there’s never anything via al-Islām which endorses Suicide as a “Solutiin” for any Issue/Problem. Realistically, ending one’s own Life will never erase any Sort of Issue/Problem…this isn’t “Opinion”: it’s Stone-Cold Fact. Literally, no one can intelligently detail any Crisis via Human-History which was ever solved via Suicide.
As someone who’s literally prevented Others from attempting/committing Suicide (via my Professional&Personal-Life): for anyone to “praise” someone for committing Suicide truly disgusts me entirely. There’s literally nothing via al-Islām which honors or praises anyone to commit any Manifestation of Self-Harm. So, for any Muslim to co-sign this…there’s something fundamentally wrong with them theologically.
During the Covid-Era: Gareth Bryant & Yusuf Rios had a very Fruitful-Convo, concerning how destructive these Agenda-Based “`Aqīdah/Creed-Wars” are between Fellow-Muslims. We both jointly shared & still share the Same-Conclusion. Our Joint-Comprehension, relative to the Subject-Matter, is that nothing positive could ever evolve from Fellow-Muslims bickering over whether or not the Sifāt (Characteristics/Qualities) of Allah are Literal vs. Allegorical. Historically, as well as contemporaneously, we’ve only observed/witnessed Religio-Stagnation, Bastardized-Spirituality, Religio-Pimping/Exploitation, Religio-Gangsterism, etc. as a Result of these infantile/immature “`Aqīdah-Wars”. I mean, it’s gotten to the Point where Certain-Muslims will simply slander Fellow-Muslims & accuse them of pontificating/claiming Things about Allah that literally no Muslim actually claims. Many/Most of those are Things which one can’t even be a Muslim if they claim them anyway.
There’s a Deliberate-Sabab/Reason for that & it’s literally rooted in al-Kharajiyyah/Religio-Extremism via Takfīr-Culture. Most-Muslims whom shamelessly ascribe to Hizbī-Gang Culture targetting Fellow-Muslims: it’s done exclusively so they can have Pseudo-Justifications to violate the Lives, Properties, Reputations of Fellow-Muslims without feeling bad about it, nor feeling the Religio-Necessity to make at-Tawbah/Repentance as per their Religio-Transgressions against Fellow-Muslims.
These Religio-Theological Triffles are nothing less than Religio-Sectarian Proxy-Wars, with the Sole-Purpose of having/keeping Muslims whom’re Native/Indigenous to the Western-World upon al-Iftirāq/Dissent, and to disrupt any/all Strides towards al-Ijtimā` (Unity) amongst themselves & al-Barā’ (Autonomy/Freedom) from Muslim-Foreigner Influence. Ironically, as well as pitifully: Muslims (almost exclusively those of Revert-Backgrounds, Afro/Latino-Backgrounds, etc.) keep falling for Wave-After-Wave of Muslim-Foreigner Influence.
From Sūfism, to Ikhwānism, to Tablīghism, to Shī`ism, to Salafism, to Ash`ārism, etc. & any/all Other-Ahzāb (Religio-Sectarian Groups): these Entities have literally done nothing for Muslim-Indigenous Persons, except give them the A`dhār/Excuses to remain NWA (Niggas With `Aqīdah/Theology). Instead of using al-Islām as the Ultimate-Tool to correct the Human-Condition, they only use al-Islām as an Excuse to switch Slave-Masters. The Worst-Part is that we love&live for this Type/Kind of Sucka-Shit. Because we suffer & refuse to acquire Spiritual/Psycho-Emotional Ruqyah/Healing from our Socio-Political/Cultural-Historical Fitn (Traumas) anyway…because we’d rather be each other’s Opps as opposed to each other’s Brethren…etc.: of course it’s Super-Easy to be Ego/Desire-Driven to manipulate al-Hizbiyyah/Religio-Sectarianism in order to wipe one another off the Map.
What Muslim-Indigenous Persons have done (literally for Decades) is literally replaced Criminal-Syndicates like Crime-Families, Cartels, Street-Gangs, etc. with Ahzāb. Ash`arīs are like Crips & Ahbāshīs are like Hoovers. Salafīs are like Bloods & Madkhalīs are like Pirus. Shī`īs are like Gangster-Disciples. Sūfīs are like MS13 & Ikhwānīs are like La Cosa Nostra. Tablīghīs & Deobandīs are like Woos & Chos. Qur’ānīs are like Latin-Kings. I can literally do this All-Day. Muslim-Indigenous Persons via the Western-World/Hemisphere have infused a Combo of Criminal/Gang-Culture & Fake-Wokeness into their Practice of al-Islām. This isn’t my “Opinion”, rather proven Religio-Historical Fact. We’ve all observed/witnessed the Goofy-Shit, if not in fact lived it. I can truthfully say about myself, when I used to be Hizbī/Religio-Sectarian: when I was Salafī (from 2000-2007, C.E.) that was the closest I ever got to being a Gang-Member.
Our People literally built Muslim-America (I’m not talking about those Goofy-Ass NOIers either…I’m talking about Real-Muslims whom were Afro/Latino-Peoples), but yet we still allow ourselves to be treated as the Religio-Slaves of Other-Muslims whom migrate to the Western-World. As a Chaplain (Counselor/Therapist): I’ve personally encountered Various-Persons either expressing/verbalizing that they no longer see the Point of Life and/or express/verbalize their Contemplations/Desires, Motives/Intents, etc. to commit Suicide. My Niyyah/Motive is to thoroughly decipher the Difference between being Unlively & being Suicidal. Now, is there Correlation between Unliveliness & Suicide…Absolutely. However, does this mean that both are exclusively a Causation of one another…Absolutely not.
al-Hazan/Unliveliness
This results from any Human-Experience which triggers and/or reminds us of Negative-Times, Challenging-Happenings via our Existence within ad-Dunyā/the Mundane. If/when any Person loses what’s known as the “Will to live”-Naturally, Most-People will in fact think/feel that someone just wants to hang it up & end their Lives. It’s not always like this. There’s truly an Abundance of Complexities/Complications via someone’s Life-Experiences which cause Unliveliness. More often than not: a Person may simply not want their Life as is and/or they may want to live the Lives of Others whom they know, know of. It’s very probable that they don’t view who they are individually as valuable, meaningful, purposeful, important, etc. They very often may actually fantasize and/or become addicted to whom they see/view via T.V., Film, Entertainment, Porn, Online, Social-Media, etc. Then, they may wish to live the Lives they’re stimulated by as if intoxicated with wanting to be anyone/everyone externally of themselves. This-Concept “Living my Best-Life” is literally one of the Culprits of Personality-Addiction/Worship: it’s actually a Grave-Facade. Whenever Most-People conceptualize That-Mythos, it’s exclusively pertaining to Mundane-Gains & Material-Pleasures…as Allah states: “And the Mundane-Life is only the Matā`/Enjoyment of al-Ghurūr/Illusion.”. None of Those-Things will ever yield as-Sa`ādah/Happiness…as-Sa`ādah can never be externally acquired, rather, it must always be introspectively/interally fostered&cultivated: as-Sa`ādah is a Personal-Responsibility. Ironically, one of the Major-Reasons how/why so/too man Human-Relationships are negative, toxic, etc. and/or fail is because as Humans we audaciously/arrogantly expect Other-People to make us “happy”. But, it’s humanly impossible to make anyone happy, except ourselves…like I always tell People: No one can make us happy, but anyone can make us miserable. And, when they continuously see Person-After-Person disappointing them, worse yet making them miserable (because they refuse to find as-Sa`ādah intrapersonally) they delve further into a Spiritual/Psycho-Emotional Abyss. This is precisely how/why Allah states: “Those whom believe pay attention: Upon you are yourselves.” & “Verily, Allah doesn’t change what’s within any People unless/until they change what’s within themselves.”. (Noble-Qur’ān: Chpt.5, V.105; Chpt.13, V.11; Chpt.57, V.20)
at-Tahlukah/Suicide
As per what I’ve aforementioned, via the Pic concerning “wanting to die”: in All-Truthfulness/Honesty, it’s a Misnomer. I’ll explain what I actually mean. Even if/when anyone becomes and/or is Suicidal: they don’t actually want to die…they really only want their Suffering, Life-Challenges, etc. to die. However, Suicidal-Persons (for Various-Reasons) allow ash-Shaytān/Satan to convince them that the Only-Way to end their Suffering/Life-Challenges are to end themselves. Speaking of Suicide, as per my Professional-Experience: there exists a Strong-Correlation between Suicide & Sexual-Abuse. At least 98% of Persons I’ve counseled regarding Suicide were sexually-abused (at least once via their Life-Times). Being Suicidal is literally a Person’s Last-Call for Help…it’s actually a Spiritual/Psycho-Emotional S.O.S.-Signal. This is the Reason how/why the Average-Suicidal authors what’s known as the “Suicide-Note”. They do this to catch they Attention of at least 1-Person who actually cares enough to reach-out to them, to stop/prevent them from committing Suicide. For example: the Famous-Series “13 Reasons Why”, which is literally based on a True-Story/Actual-Events by the way: I’ve literally seen almost all the 13-Reasons manifested via Other-People I’ve actually counseled. I mean, via the Nasr/Help-Of-Allah: I’ve literally been able to physically prevent People from threating/attempting Suicide rite in front of me via Real-Time & via Real-Life. This is the Logic of Sad/Depressed-Persons. This is neither normal nor healthy.
So, what’s to be done…what can be done…how can anyone help People dealing with either Unliveliness, Suicide, or both, etc.?!!!
