A Brief history of Terrorism within the United States:

Standard

Newton-School-Shooting-6

I was just thinking of the following:

Whenever Islamophobes talk about “Homegrown-Terrorism/Terrorists”, they always neglect to reflect upon the history of Terrorism, within the annals of our very own American-History. I had debating with a fellow online writer/blogger (http://themuslimissue.wordpress.com/2013/05/11/loonwatch-has-been-claiming-that-94-of-all-terrorists-arent-muslim-whats-up-with-that/), because this person was making the claim that “since 1980, Muslims in the U.S. have been 35 times more likely to commit terror than all other demographics combined.”…by the way, the author of this blogpost also stated, “Reports of bombings, shootings, stabbings and even beheadings by terrorists cross the newswire each day.” he mentioned “stabbings, shootings” as acts of Terror done by Terrorists, so, by definition, Muslims can’t be 35 times more likely to commit acts of Terror, because Muslims still account for less than 10% of the U.S.-Population. So, how could it possibly be that a demographic that’s less than 10% be 35 times more likely to commit crimes against Humanity?!!!

Now, before we go further, let’s intelligently understand what exactly the word Terror, Terrorism, and Terrorist all mean, as to acquire a fair, balanced, justified, unbiased, definition of these respective words, instead of unfair/biased attribution of these terms, almost exclusively, to certain demographics, which are deemed “Un-American” and/or against the “American Way of Life”:

1. Terror (n)- intense, sharp, overmastering fear

2. Terrorism (n)- the use of violence and threats to intimidate or coerce, especially for political purposes

3. Terrorist (n)- a person, usually a member of a group, who uses or advocates terrorism

Courtesy of Dictionary.com

So, by virtue of these respective definitions, it’s clear to see that any act of Violence, meant exclusively to establish fear and/or an objective/motive, can (potentially) be, in fact, an act of Terror, and by that, anyone who commits acts of Violence, can, by definition, be (potentially) a Terrorist.

Now, let’s observe the history of Violence/Terrorism, within the United States, alone, just on the basis of a particular element of Violence/Terrorism:

From 1764, the Colonial-era in American-History, all the up the present-day, there have been hundreds, if not thousands of reported/unreported cases of violent-shootings, involving children, at facilities of learning: Day-Care Centers/Elementary Schools, Junior High Schools/High Schools, Colleges/Universities, etc., within our nation, this United States of America. But, there’s something very important we all must/should know: in all of these shootings, from the mid 18th-century, until now, not one Muslims was ever accused, subpoenaed, indicted, arrested, arraigned, prosecuted, tried, convicted, etc. of any School-Shootings, to date. I mean, realistically, what better way to strike Terror into the hearts of People other than School-Children, right? Now, if Muslims are 35 times more likely to commit acts of Terror/Terrorism, don’t you think that a Muslim would’ve been blamed for at least 1 School-Shooting, in the U.S.?

Good questions right?!!!

The Peninsula

The blistering winds, stroking dunes of the Central-Region, known as an-Najd, cause many moods…
…They have always both whistled and swirled around these monstrous sands, for so many moons.

Northward, touching all of what’s Bilad-ish-Sham…
…We can see Cave-Dwellings of Thamud and Iram.

Towards the south, towards al-Yaman…
…The forestry there looks like Heaven.

The former residence of the People of `Ad…
…Punished by Tornadoes, for they were bad.

Eastward, you’ll find thousands of miles of Oil-Fields, which fuel the economies of the whole Planet…
…Its coast is host to such rich aquatic-life; who knew this such beauty lies in such a harsh environment?

And, Westward, there’s the most priceless treasure of all…

…al-Ka`bah, where all Men come to visit, great and small.

It used to be called the valley of Bakkah…
…But, Allah decided to name it al-Makkah.

It was built entirely for His pleasure…
…No one could ever plan it better.

Constructed by Abraham & Ishmael…
…Such a wonder is their arduous tale.

A father & son, who were separated and rejoined…
…At this very spot, they established Islam, rejoiced.

Just as our parents, Adam & Eve…
…After being separated on Earth.

They lost, and then, found one another in al-Jazirah, the Peninsula…
…An example that, even in sin, we can acquire the Mercy of Allah.

Islamic Relief: Keep Calm & Help Humanity

Standard

Image
Author’s-Note:
Minkailou Jalloh is currently a full-time employee of Islamic Relief, living in Washington, D.C. He’s been doing some amazing work, within the past years at Islamic Relief, and I’m proud to know of his many tantamount accomplishments. Islamic Relief is a non-profit which offers relief-aid to impoverished & war-torn parts of the World, as well as disaster stricken areas within the United States. I’m here with him, to discuss an incredible initiative that he & others from Islamic Relief have began, he can tell you better than , so let’s here it directly from him.

G.B.: What is this brand-new initiative that Islamic Relief has up its sleeves, to help others in-need?

M.J.: Actually this initiative is an independent project run by myself and my colleague, Ali Hussain, at Islamic Relief. While we will be donating a significant portion of the profits to Islamic Relief USA, the campaign is solely our project. We are selling shirts with the “Keep Calm and Make Du’a” motto. It’s somewhat like Kickstarter, in that if we don’t reach our goal of selling 250 shirts, they will not be printed, and no money will be collected.

G.B.: What is the purpose for the “Keep Calm & Make Du’a” concept?

M.J.: A lot of people are familiar with the Keep Calm and Make Du’a concept. It’s been around for awhile now, and we love the message. We choose to use this because it’s so universally relatable. For those who don’t know, its a play on a British poster conceived prior to World War II. It was an attempt at motivating the population of Great Britain with the phrase “Keep Calm and Carry On”, as they were expecting massive air attacks from Germany in the near future. I think the reason the “Keep Calm” manifesto became so popular recently is because there is a legitimate ethos behind it which is applicable in so many circumstances. It speaks to the idea of maintaining strength of will and character in the face of difficulty. In Islam, where we understand that Allah is the Beginning and End of all things, it signifies the idea of turning to Him as a refuge, regardless of what situation you are facing. Thus “Keep Calm and Make Du’a” is our God-conscious perspective on this phrase.

G.B.:What does it mean, for you, as an individual Muslim, to know that every time you go to work, you help make the World a better place?

M.J.: For me it is a blessing, and a great responsibility as well. The reason I wanted to work at Islamic Relief in the first place is because I wanted my job to be something that would benefit others directly, not just a source of income. Knowing that my efforts revolve around providing service to others motivates me and humbles me. I consider it a great gift from my Lord.

G.B.: Where is this initiative taking place?

M.J.: The initiative itself is based online and accessible to any country. The cause that it is supporting is the emergency relief in the Philippines, which was recently struck by Typhoon Haiyan. The devastation was immense, and unfortunately the nation was unable to handle its recovery alone. In our fast-paced, media obsessed culture, these kinds of disasters receive their spotlight and are forgotten quickly. Just because we stop talking about it does not mean the problem has been solved however. Islamic Relief sets a very high goal for itself in terms of contributing to the Philippines relief-efforts, and we are hoping to contribute to that through this project. They are certainly in need of it, and every contribution is helpful.

G.B.: How long do you plan on keeping this initiative going?

M.J.: This campaign will last until December 31. Unless we are able to get 250 pre-orders of the shirt, they will not be printed, and no money will be raised, so we really need the help of the community to make this successful.

G.B.: Is this country the only nation that you plan on having this initiative implemented?

M.J.: As I mentioned, people from around the world can purchase the shirt online. In terms of the cause we are supporting, we do have some preliminary plans to develop other independent fundraising projects for other relief efforts across the globe.

G.B.: How effective do you believe that this initiative can/will be?

M.J.: This initiative can be incredibly successful. While the minimum number of shirts we must sell is 250, there is no ceiling, meaning the potential is limitless. However, it’s success is solely dependent on how much support we receive from the community.

G.B.: How important is it for People to support this initiative?

M.J.: The success of this project is solely based on the support of others. If people don’t support this, it will not go anywhere. In terms of supporting the Philippines, I think we should not be like everyone else and forget about what has happened. Our community should see this through to the end and continue to support those who were affected by the disaster. In fact I believe that anywhere a disaster occurs, the Muslims should be the first to jump in and provide support. Its a part of who we must be as a community. And we cannot be lackadaisical about these things. The Qur’an does not say “support the poor as long as it is convenient for you and doesn’t require too much effort on your part, or just wait for someone else to do it”. Even those with only a date to share are asked to give half. We have to live up to these standards, or else what is the purpose of faith? It becomes something that we use only to make ourselves feel better. Faith is not a pill that you take to feel good, it should define who are as people, and part of that is giving of ourselves in the service of others.

A Commentary on the “Muslim Women are Cool Too” Video:

Standard

Image

Author’s-Note:
Allah states, within His Noble-Book: “Oh, Prophet!!! Tell your Wives, along with your Daughters & the Believing-Women, to cover themselves. That is to ensure that they are recognized publicly & not harassed. And, Allah is All-Forgiving, Most-Merciful.”.(Noble Qur’an: Chpt.33, 59)

Since this “Somewhere in America Muslim Women Are Cool Too” video has went viral, basically, there has been a lot of buzz about it: good, bad, ugly & all sorts of in between. There are some whom have taken the video out of proportion from both the Conservative & Liberal camps within the Muslim-Community, anywhere/everywhere that this video has been viewed. So, what I’ve decided to do is simply ask someone,  whom is pretty much on the level socially, yet sincerely attempting to be an adherent Muslim, what are their potential concerns that this video may be projecting. I’ve decided to interview my brother Navroz Shariff, who I take to be a very balanced, well-rounded Muslims, to chime-in to personally examine this video & what image this video could possibly be sending to the public about Muslims generally, and also Muslim-Women. And, I know that a lot of People, Women (both Muslim & Non-Muslim alike) will take issue with Men speaking about the issue of “Hijab”, based upon a very ignorant misconception that (from both Men & Women: Muslim & Non-Muslim alike) that Islamic-Issues are monopolized by Genders, and/or that Hijab is only a Women’s-Issue…both are completely false (learn more about the reality of Hijab: http://www.garethbryant.wordpress.com/2011/11/24/theoriginofthehijabofthemanwomaninislam/).

Navroz Shariff pic

G.B.: So, what do you think about this phenomenon, known as Hijabi-Culture?

N.S.: The purpose of Hijab is to be inconspicuous, not to stand out, glowing with make up and various kinds of fashion-accessories. I am afraid that this video will make guys much more curious about our sisters in Islam who wear modest-clothing and it may even get to a point where they will be disrespected in the streets, because, guys will have the mentality that they can just approach them similar to any non practicing girl or any Non-Muslim for that matter. We know those who do not cover their `Awrat/Private-Parts, wear tight-clothing, and show their shape, love the attention they receive from guys. Unfortunately, this video is tarnishing the respect that girls who wear Hijab properly deserve, because, guys will start to get the impression that girls who wear Hijab are the same as girls who don’t and are just as approachable. Have you ever seen how non-Muslim men act towards our sisters who properly cover their `Awrat? They show so much respect to them. Ask any of the Hijab-wearing sisters how a woman is in front of them wearing a skimpy-outfit gets whistled at and harassed while when the modest sister passes the guys the all just quiet down. Ironically, the non-Muslim men here in America give our sisters more respect, compared to fellow Muslims in some/many Muslim-Countries. Our sisters in those countries get groped, harassed and even raped, even when they sincerely attempt to dress modestly.

G.B.: Well, honestly, many Muslim-Women who may choose to not dress properly, Islamically, or not cover their bodies to any extent, may say, “Even without ‘Hijab’, I’m still ‘Modest'”.  So, let me ask you: what is the (Islamic) definition of Modesty?

G.B.: You can’t have modesty without HIjab & vice versa: they define one another simultaneously Both Hijab & Modesty are (jointly) signs of purity and dignity; they highlight the Muslim-Woman as a pure, chaste, integral, woman and sets her apart from the immoral-behavior associated with women who dress/behave immodestly. It is an external-protection, for chaste Muslim-Women, against the evil that exists within the world. When a woman wears a Hijab she is less likely to be harassed by men, with lusty-motives, especially here in America. For our sisters who cover and wish to be inconspicuous, in my humble opinion, this video has just put them on the radar and Non-Muslim men will begin to think they are no different than women who don tight-jeans, mini-skirts, etc., who show their `Awrat. It is bad enough for some that men in some/many Muslim-Countries showing disrespect to our sisters, now the non-Muslim men will also do the same. May Allah protect our sisters, and in particular I am thinking of my lovely wife here, and guide us all. And, for the sisters that see this as a Hijab instructional-video (believe me some do), the perpetrators in the video will all be responsible for all the sisters they mislead when standing alone in front of Allah.

G.B.: Do you think that Muslims are trying too hard for socio-cultural/socio-political acceptance in Non-Muslim-Countries/Non-Islamic societies, at the expense of their religious-integrity?

N.S.: It seems that Muslims are desperately trying to be accepted even if it means that they have to sculpt their religion to gain acceptance. They heed more the creation than the Creator. What does this say about their emaan? It may very well be a test for them from Allah which they are failing miserably. Mu`awiyah wrote to `A’ishah (May Allah be pleased with them both), asking her to write him a letter giving him advice but not to make it lengthy. She wrote: ‘Peace be upon you! To proceed: I heard Allah’s Messenger (saws) say, “If anyone seeks Allah’s good pleasure at the cost of people’s displeasure Allah will keep from him the trouble caused by people; but if anyone seeks people’s good pleasure at the cost of Allah’s displeasure Allah will leave him in people’s hands.”

G.B.: Are you at all biased to their views on what direction Muslims should turn towards?

N.S.: If we were to stick to the Qur’an and Sunnah, then we would not be having this discussion. Is that what you mean by that question?

G.B.: Have you previously revealed your general-views regarding this new-wave of “Islamic-Identity?

N.S.: Yes, my views I tend to write in public; but, to verify that I am not biased, I ask others that they think about my opinion, discuss with them, look at it at other angles.

G.B.: How much opposition do you/have you received as a result of your views against your stances against this brand of “Islamic-Expression/Islamic-Identity”?

So far, none. But, there are many people who condone what the video shows, and the way it depicts Muslim-Women.

G.B.: If you could have a serious-conversation with either the producers of, and/or those depicted within this video, what would you say to them, and how would you say it; meaning how would you even approach the conversation?

N.S.: Honestly, it really depends: if the producers are not Muslim, then I would question the sisters…if they both are Muslims, I would question both of them and their agenda, especially with regards to the explicit lyrics and dress-style which are contrary to Islamic practice anyway…if they are just young, then I would question the elders in the video what were they thinking and that they should know better to guide their sisters.

G.B.: Are you fearful of fellow Muslims viewing you of being “backwards”, “too conservative”, “unrefined”, “too traditional”, etc.?

N.S.: I am only fearful of Allah. Islam is not about picking and choosing what you of Islam and compromise it.

Islam is not about picking and choosing what you like of the Deen and compromising.

There’s beauty within all the creation of Allah, within all Human beings. It’s just that ash-Shaytan/the Devil, along with his countless Shayatin/Minions-of-the-Devil (Noble Qur’an: Chpt.114, V.3-5), whispers into the hearts both of Jinn (Unseen-Creation made from Smokeless-Fire [Noble Qur’an: Chpt.55, V.15]), as well as Men, adding corruption to the pure-nature of the Human being, to hate one another, be at adds with one another, despise one another, based upon this which Allah had chosen for us, via His Qadha’/Divine-Providence, which we never were able to choose for our selves. And this was done exclusively, for His Divine-Purpose, to determine which from among us would be most obedient to Him, the most-grateful to Him, by learning about those whom are different, appreciating variety amongst our Human-Family, benefitting from different cultures, traditions, perspectives, walks-of-life, etc.(Noble Qur’an: Chpt.49, V.13) It was never done as a justification to oppress one another, to make ourselves higher than others, to make others lower than us, in the name of `Assabiyyah/Bias (unwarranted biased towards/against someone, exclusively based upon factors that are not in anyone’s control, like: ethnic-background, nationality, genetic-abnormalities, etc.).(Noble Qur’an: Chpt.10, V.44)

December 7th…#PearlHarborDay:

The day that the United States at the Pearl-Harbor Naval-Base, Oahu, Hawaiian-Islands, was attacked by the Imperial Armed Forces of Japan, as a result of America breaking the Neutrality-Acts of its own Federal-Legislation, which sprung the U.S. into the greatest (international/global) military-conflict, in the history of Man, World-War II, a war responsible for at least the deaths of about 50Million Human beings, from all across the globe: from the American Nazi-Bankers who financially fueled the 3rd-Reich, to the carnage committed by the Soviet Union in Eastern-Europe, to the Massacre of Nanking by Japanese military-forces (which are directly parallel to the atrocities committed in Bosnia, Rwanda, etc.), to the atrocities committed by the Axis-Powers in Europe, Africa, and Asia, to the bombing of all of Continental-Europe by the Allied-Powers, killing untold thousands of innocent-civilians, to the dropping of the fist/only Nuclear-Bombs, ever used in any Human military-conflict, upon Hiroshima & Nagasakki, 2-cities full of non-military/civilians of Japan, it’s so very hard to distinguish who were more oppressive than the other in this conflict…May Allah save the World from ever experiencing any other such military-conflict of that magnitude…Amen

You’ll never find this on Salafi Publications: A Necessary Hujjah (Indictment/Refutation) against Saudi Arabia…a kingdom of Sectarian-Deviants, Tyrants, and Powermongers

Standard

Author’s-Note:
Allah states, within His Noble-Book: “And, hold-on to the Rope of Allah altogether. But, do not divide/splinter-off (from) one another.”.(Noble Qur’an: Chpt.3, V.103)…regardless to how clear this verse from the Qur’an is, sadly, we, as Muslims (mainly stemming from our natural negative-quality of ingratitude), pathologically yearn to do the opposite of what Allah advises/commands us to do. And, here’s where we get these Sectarian-Groups, that Muslims foolishly invent, that we’re not only prohibited from inventing (Noble Qur’an: Chpt.6, V.159), but also are informed about Nations (specifically/especially the Children of Israel & the Jews & Christians) who came before us, who splintered themselves, by making sects between themselves & were punished/destroyed.(Noble Qur’an: Chpt.98, V.4 & 5) Ironically, no Sectarian-Group manifests this stubbornness & willingness to be sectarian more than the members of the Salafi-Movement, who are granted the full-support of the Saudi Kingdom, to attempt to enact religious dominance all throughout the Muslim-World, while blatantly being one of the leading causes of sectarian-division amongst fellow Muslims.

The Salafi-Movement is no different/better than the Catholic-Church: instead of Vatican City, they have Riyadh…instead of the College of Cardinals, they have the Permanent-Committee of Islamic Jurists…instead of a Pope, the reigning Monarchs of the Gulf-States (Saudi Arabia & Co.) are the Desert-Pontiffs of this “Saved-Group/Saved-Sect”:

Photo: King making dua with the rest of his salafi brothers , is he a salafi though?

Basically, these Rulers/Royals of the sands of the Arabian-Peninsula can waste the wealth of the Believers on unnecessary-extravagance, be Substance-Abusers, Fornicators/Adulterers, Homosexuals…Pimps…Prostitutes…Drug-Dealers…Human-Traffickers, investors in interest-based Financial-Institutions, the whole nine-yards-Their names are not mentioned at all in any Scholarly works, nor on any social-media outlets, nor on Salafi (religious) internet-tabloids (Salafi Publications being the tip-of-the-spear Salafi-Tabloid). Yet, ironically, when a brother takes his wife to a damn movie, the whole Salafi-World seems to just helplessly fall face-first off of it’s sectarian axis…There are so many ironically hypocritical nuanced/blatant, elements, of this, along with so many/too many other Sectarian-Groups among the Muslims.

The History of the Salafi-Movement, the Saudi-Kingdom, and how Saudi Arabia mimics the State of Israel almost identically:

The History of the Salafi-Movement-

All the Saud Kings Men pic

This movement, that everyone across the Muslim-World, who adheres to it, calling it “The Saved-Group/Saved-Sect”, “The Haqq/Truth”, “The Minhaj/Manhaj”, etc., really don’t know the true story behind how this movement started and/or evolved into what it has become today. Likewise, the opponents of the Salafi-Movement very unfairly attribute the founding of this movement to the wrong persons…don’t worry, I’ll explain. Now, in all fairness, most People, who know about the Salafi-Movement, either through name only, actually being Salafi, Former-Salafis (such as myself), etc., don’t know who’s actually the brain-child of it, they don’t know the true historical-architects of this movement.

So, here we go: whenever the origins of the Salafi-Movement are spoken about, the name Muhammad ibn `Abd-il-Wahhab always (unfairly) pops up. Now, why do I say “unfairly”? Because, historical-records clearly show (both religious & universal) that this man wasn’t the founder of this movement. But, I’ll get into, later, why he’s been branded falsely as the movement’s founder a lil’ later on. For now, let’s dig a lil’ deeper to the actual founders of it: Muhammad `Abduh & Rashid Ridha…these two men, originally from Egypt, had enormous influences on the original intent of the Salafi-Movement of that time, which was a political-movement, with religious-elements: the political-elements were meant to simply dispel the growing, uncontrollable tyranny of the failing Ottoman-Empire…the religious-elements were geared towards reforming the general understanding of Islamic-Teachings based upon the example of as-Salaf/the Ancestors (the 1st 3-Generations of Muslims, following the revelation of the Qur’an: as-Sahabah/the Companions [Muhammad] & at-Tabi`in/the Followers [of as-Sahabah]).(Muslim) Both Muhammad `Abduh & Rashid Ridha lived & were religio-socially/religio-politically active during a very hotbed period in the history of the Ottoman-Empire: this was a time that the Ottomans were showing the very first blatant signs of internal bureaucratic-decay & the Middle-East was a prize for European-Powers, ever since the Crusade-Era.(Encyclopedia Britannica) And, also, as a result of the degeneration of the Ottoman-Empire, the Arabs (mainly) started to faction-off & pick sides in what would be the precedents of long drawn-out conflicts, that would have dynamic & also disastrous results for the entire Muslim-World, more specifically the Arab-World, in the centuries, decades, to come, longer after the deaths of people like those whom I’ve mentioned.

The History of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia-
ibn Saud pic

You absolutely cannot speak about the history of Saudi Arabia, without first speaking about the leading causes for its inception. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, basically, evolved into 3-waves, the 1st 2-waves only limited Bani-Sa`ud (the ancestral clan of the current Saudi Royal-Family) to dominance over an-Najd, the central-region of the Arabian-Peninsula. Now, here’s where it gets interesting: Muhammad ibn `Abd-il-Wahhab, a native of an-Najd, who was a Muslim-Scholar, beginning his Islamic-Education very young, began to see the necessity to rid his people of the many long-practiced innovative practices which directly mimicked classic Pagan-Arab idolatry. So, of course, him being so young, so uncompromising in his convictions, he receives opposition rather swiftly, forced from his native hometown, `Uyaynah, into the interior of an-Najd, which is how he and the adherents to his religious-teachings began to be called Wahhabiyyun/Wahhabis (literally meaning: the Followers of Muhammad ibn `Abd-il-Wahhab…now, ironically, this term “Wahhabi” is made synonymous with the term “Salafi”). It is here that one of the most-important religio-political alliances ever forged in Human-History took place. Muhammad ibn-Sa`ud ibn-Muhammad ibn-Mijrin had agreed to protect Muhammad ibn `Abd-il-Wahhab, on the condition that he become the leading religious-figure of Al-is-Sa`ud/the House of Sa`ud (which of course he agreed to): here lies the pavement of the Saudi yellow-brick road, which led to the land of Sa`ud, some 2-centuries later, known forever as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia…for those who claim that Muhammad ibn `Abd-al-Wahhab founded the Salafi-Movement are actually, historically, incorrect. One of the historical-proofs that he wasn’t the founder of the movement is exactly what I’ve previously mentioned, concerning Muhammad `Abduh & Rashid Ridha. Also,  there were People within the Indian-Subcontinent who were teaching the exact same things which Muhammad ibn `Abd-il-Wahhab were & they never met one another, they are Ahmad ibn-`Abd-ir-Rahim, better known as “Shah Waliyyullah” & Muhammad Isma`il, better known as “Shah Isma`il Shahid”.(Encyclopedia Britannica)

Now, we’ll jump to about 2-centuries later: `Abd-ul-`Aziz ibn `Abd-ir-Rahman (commonly referred to as “ibn-Sa`ud”) of Al-is-Sa`ud (which would later be commonly known as simply the Saudi Royal-Family), one of many ancestors of the current Arab-World monarchs, rebelled against the Ottoman-Empire, much like the rest of his geo-political peers in the region, exclusively because the Ottomans were Non-Arabs (yes: contrary to popular opinion the rebellion of the Arabs against the Turks was exclusively racially-motivated & subsequently fueled by the support of the Allied-Powers). They felt ways about being ruled over by Non-Arabs.

So, with the help of the Allied-Powers, who were fighting the Central-Powers (which the Ottoman-Empire was a part of), anyway, they succeeded in destroying the last (globally) recognized Islamic ruling-body of the Muslim-World, al-Khilafah, which has resulted in about 90% percent of all of the atrocities that have plagued the Muslim-World for the past two centuries (both the 1900’s & the 2000’s). ibn-Sa`ud was one of (as a result of demolishing his Arab-Competition within the Arabian-Peninsula) the main boots-on-the-ground military-commanders of the entire duration of the armed-opposition against the Ottoman-Empire, in the Middle-East, which made it easier for the Allied-Powers to flank the forces of the Ottomans, as well as further weaken the strength of the other Central-Powers, during World War I. ibn-Sa`ud was a shrewd politician, who manipulated & maneuvered people at will. One of the proofs of this is the fact that he was able to convince the members of the religious-wing of his regime, Al-ush-Shaykh/the Family of the Shaykh (`Ulama’/Muslim [Religious] Scholars, mainly from Bani-Tamim, the ancestral-tribe of Muhammad ibn `Abd-il-Wahhab, many of whom were most-probably even his biological-descendants), to issue Fatawa/Edicts (sing. Fatwa) against fellow Muslims in the Ottoman-Army, as well as the Muslims in the region, loyal to the Khilafah, to justify fighting against them, killing them, in favor of supporting the agenda of the Allied-Powers, that he may acquire their support of his domain in the Arabian-Peninsula. He established a military-wing of his regime, specifically for this purpose, to decimate his political-opponents in the Arabian-Peninsula: al-Ikhwan/The Brotherhood was a desert-military, made-up of Arab-Tribesmen loyal to Al-is-Sa`ud. Then, after the consolidation of his power in the Arabian-Peninsula was completed, he turned on his own army, raising another army to crush al-Ikhwan, because they wanted to shed more blood of fellow Muslims in the region, like in modern-day Kuwait, and because, he had decided that the fighting was over, that wasn’t good enough for them. He then sought the necessity to destroy al-Ikhwan, in order to maintain order in the Arabian-Peninsula, as to not allow al-Ikhwan to tamper with the very fragile/delicate alliances that he was able to establish with other future Arab kingdoms of the Peninsula.(Encyclopedia Britannica, War in the Desert) And, after the formation of the (official) Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Al-us-Sa`ud decided to (basically) hijacked the Salafi-Movement (they completely converted this movement, turned it inside-out, and made it something completely different from the intent of its founders & early influencers). From the founding of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia & onward, this movement changed direction in a 180-Degree perspective: instead of the Salafi-Movement remaining a political-movement with religious elements, it became a religious-movement with political-elements. The Salafi-Movement converted from having almost exclusively a political-identity to a religious-identity, that is reliant upon the good-favor of its political-patrons (Saudi & Co.), to continue to support this movement financially. Likewise, this movement is also the most influencial element in maitaining the psuedo-legitimacy of Saudi Arabia (existing as a nation-state), religiously giving Al-as-Saud the religious-greenlight to rule the Arabian-Peninsula, and (by default) be the deFacto puppet-masters of the other Arab-Kingdoms/Gulf-States, via immense political, military, financial, influence/dominance.

Now, the last-time that I checked, Islamically, the killing of anyone, especially a fellow Muslim, is a serious Major-Sin; yet, ibn-Sa`ud was allowed to indiscriminately kill fellow Muslims, to promote a (selfish/narcissistic) political-agenda centered upon racism & the pursuit of absolute-power, to not only help abolish a legitimate Islamic ruling-body, but, to establish a kingdom, which isn’t even based upon any Islamic precepts, because there’s no allowances (Islamically: relative to the Revelation given to Muhammad) for Muslims to make themselves leaders, based upon man-made political-concepts (like Kingdoms). And, there’s no Islamic allowances for Muslims to rebel against Muslims in-power; moreover, there’s no allowances, Islamically, to side politically and/or militarily with Non-Muslims, against other Muslims.(al-Kaba’ir/The Major-Sins, al-Wala’ wal-Bara’/Loyalty & Disloyalty) The natural-resources, namely Petroleum, found in the Arabian-Peninsula were later appropriated, based upon national boundaries carved out by agreements between the newly-founded Arab-Kingdoms of the Persian-Gulf region & Great Britain/America, who guaranteed to protect them militarily (so long as the Oil keeps following from underneath the desert), among the future kingdoms of this region and became tightly controlled by the elites of these kingdoms (mainly the royal-families themselves, and those in their financial, military, political, religious, inner-circles).

Some ironic similarities between Saudi Arabia & Israel-
Image

Regarding Human-Rights…
…Saudi Arabia is notoriously known to not fully comply with the minimum standards of anti-trafficking enforcement & are currently not any making significant efforts to do so. Saudi Arabia is a destination for both men & women, from South East Asia & East Africa, to be trafficked for the purpose of labor exploitation. Also, children, from countries like Yemen & Afghanistan, have very often been trafficking victims, for forced begging. Hundreds of thousands of low-skilled workers from places like India, Indonesia, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Eritrea and Kenya migrate travel to Saudi Arabia, some fall into conditions of involuntary servitude, suffering from physical and sexual abuse, non-payment or delayed payment of wages, withholding of identification & traveling documents, restrictions on their freedom to travel within Saudi itself and non-consensual contract alterations. According to international organizations, such as the Ansar Burney Trust, young children from Bangladesh and India are also smuggled into Saudi Arabia, to be used as camel-jockeys. These children are underfed, to reduce their weights, in order to lighten the load on the camels used for racing. Saudi Arabia has been classified as having a Human-Trafficking Tier-3 status, since 2005.

In Israel (according to the World Health Organization), Men and Women are trafficked & often used for forced-labor and commercial prostitution. Low-skilled workers from China, Romania, Turkey, Thailand, The Philippines, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and India flock to Israel for contract-labor in the Construction, Agriculture, and Health-Care industries. Israeli migrant-workers are often confronted with terrible conditions of forced-labor. Many labor recruitment agencies in Israel charges fees ranging from $1,000 to $10,000. This causes migrant workers in Israel to become highly vulnerable to trafficking once in the country, and in some cases, situations of debt-bondage are ever prevalent. Israel is also a destination country for women being trafficked from Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Belarus, China, South Korea and possibly the Philippines, for the exclusive purposes of sexual exploitation. In addition, NGO’s note an increase in the internal trafficking of Israeli-Nationals, for commercial Sexual-Exploitation, and report new instances of trafficking of Israeli-Women abroad to Canada, Ireland, and the United Kingdom.

Regarding Iran…
…Both Saudi Arabia & Israel are equally-concerned about the political-relevance & military-superiority of Iran. It sends a clear message to both nations, and their benevolent geo-political big-brothers (the United States & the United Kingdom) that there has to be some type of mutual alliance between the Zionist State of Israel and the Salafi-Patron state of Saudi Arabia. The only issue is that while both countries need an alliance against Iran, they’re not the best of friends either, for obvious reasons, namely, the fact that Palestine is under the foot of the Israeli-Regime, which is largely unpopular all across the Muslim-World, as well as the Middle-East & also that the state of Israel has dominance over the Mosque known as Masjid-il-Aqsa, the third highest-regard Mosque in Islam, behind al-Masjid-il-Haram/the Sacred-Mosque in al-Makkah & al-Masjid-in-Nabawi/the Prophetic-Mosque in al-Madinah, present-day Saudi Arabia. So, now, what both nations must do is to consolidate, put aside, their obvious religio-political differences, at the risk of upsetting their very important in-house national power-bases, to come to some type of agreement that as long as Iran stands strong, they’ll have to stand together.

Now, there’s a lot of hypocrisy here:
The state of Israel, with the outlandish support of the U.S., U.K., and basically the whole damn World, has been given the greenlight to do with the Palestinian-People what they will, without any serious, realistic, international intervention or prevention of the atrocities that occur on a day-to-day basis. Does anyone aside from me, whom is a Muslim, find it ironic that a nation like Saudi Arabia, which promotes/sponsors the establishment Islam, based upon the Salaf, is willing to consort/ally with a nation like Israel, that is very overtly Islamophobic, known for its atrocities against People, more specifically fellow Muslims, against another Muslim-Country, like Iran? The last time that I checked, siding with Non-Muslims against fellow Muslims is a serious crime & can even take someone outside of the boundaries of Islam, according to the work, “Nawaqidh-ul-Islam/The Nullifications of Islam”, authored by Muhammad ibn `Abd-il-Wahhab…Honestly, I’m truly surprised that this book, Nawqidh-ul-Islam isn’t banned in Saudi Arabia, because when studying this work, by a man whom is so revered in Saudi & amongst the Salafis generally/especially, it’s so easy to see that at least 1/2 of all of the points mentioned in this particular work apply directly to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, bureaucratically.

So, in conclusion, don’t give your loyalty to any Sectarian-Groups, no matter how much glamorous & glittery their sectarian-presentation…”Everything that glitters is not Gold.”

ARCADIA (CBSLA.com) — A Los Angeles County Sheriff’s helicopter Friday located a missing 19-year-old woman who was lost in the San Gabriel Mountains.

Family members of Bora Kim reported her missing to Arcadia police shortly after 8 p.m. Thursday, officials said.

Kim was last seen 12 hours earlier when her mother dropped her off at a bus stop headed for Pasadena City College.

“Later in the day, Kim sent suicidal messages to a boyfriend who recently broke up with her,” Lt. Bob Anderson said. “At around 6 p.m., a friend received a cellular phone call from Kim stating she was lost in the mountains.”

Friends said the woman liked to hike in Eaton Canyon in Pasadena. Authorities searched the mountain area overnight and eventually located Kim near a waterfall around 7 a.m.

The woman was alert and waving when she was located, the Los Angeles…

Nelson Mandela: One of many who gave all of themsleves for Justice:

Author’s-Note:
Nelson Mandela, a freedom-fighter, persecuted in his own land for at least 1/2 of his life, forced to endure 26-years of prison-time, for wanting his people, his countrymen, to be treated as Human beings, in the eyes of the World, as well as in the eyes of the Apartheid-driven oppressive regime in South Africa. He was jailed, stripped of all HUman dignity, taken away from his family, left to rot in a cell, for nearly 3-decades, and for what? For the liberation & humanization of his homeland & all those who live there, in spite of constant racial bigotry which was very similar, if not worse than the JIm-Crow era within the United States, from the 1880′-1960’s and as well as in Palestine, under the Israeli-Regime, from 1948-present. This is what I think about Nelson Mandela.

What Price Freedom?

You’ve endured, so that we wouldn’t have to ever suffer…
…When we were orphaned, you were our father & mother.

When no one fought for us, you stood your ground, and held the reins…
…But, they tried to silence you, lock you away and keep you in chains.

However, Allah, out of mercy & justice, saw that you were eventually set free…
…Your life was preserved by He, who is Lord of all things, to witness liberty.

You lived long enough to weather the storm and fight tumultuous & unyielding struggles…
…You were in the trenches, while the rest of us were in our comfortable Western bubbles.

We can never truly understand why you chose to sacrifice what you do, for the betterment of so many…
…The trials for you and your loved ones were incredibly tantmount, the pain real, the toil equally heavy.

Those who were by your side, every step of the way, have been the foundation of your success…
…Those who fought with you are role-models for us, to fight for right & be different from the rest.

We learned from you to never stand aside just “Let it Be”…no disrespect to The Beatles…
…But, speaking truth-to-power is a element of bravery that places you among the Eagles.

You have soared above the expectations of many, feared by most, admired by plenty…
…I wish I could have met you, to inspire me to continue to fight for justice with longevity.

You even become the leader of the same land that sent you away in a concrete box…
…They attempted to bury your memory, just as we bury the Dead, with dirt and rocks.

But, because Allah wanted to let the light of freedom shine through you, your memory never faded…
…It was a long time coming, but, because of hard-work, we’re closer to justice, it’s good we waited.

People like you only come around, to light the way, for others, once in a while…
…Your life was like a Marathon: you didn’t stop until you completed every mile.

Let’s sincerely reflect, care, and change how the Other-Half lives:

Standard

gareth-bryant-eid-pics-23.jpg

Author’s-Note:
Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him), said: “None of you believe, unless he loves for his brother what he loves for himself.”.(an-Nawawi) This particular Prophetic-Statement is often unfairly translated as to only apply to people whom are Muslims. However, when taken into greater context, this actually applies to anyone/everyone whom is a Human being, because by virtue of the fact that we are all the Children of Adam (Peace be upon him), that makes us all Humans, and it makes us all equal, valuable, valid, important, within the sight of Allah.

Have any of us really taken a step back, from our very own comfortable bubbles of our lives, to reflect upon how others actually exist, around the World? Of course we haven’t, because, if we had, the realities of what they go through would shake us to our very cores to such an extent, that as People of Conscious, we would compel ourselves to actually make real changes in these peoples’ lives, to help enhance their Humanity & by default of helping them, enhance our own Humanity as well. Because, when we help enhance others, we’re really help enhance ourselves; likewise, when we degrade others, we’re really degrading ourselves.

I’m going to give some examples of exactly what I mean:

1. Most of us, who just stop by & drink from any Water-Fountain that we choose, or just stop at any store/supermarket & buy some bottled-water with ease, really have no idea what it’s like to live in a place where the water is so contaminated that it can literally kill you on the spot, within days, if not hours, if you were to drink it.

2. Most of us go into our refrigerators, at will, to get whatever we want to eat, while in places around our cities, our nations, our planet, their are Human beings, just like us, who literally die from starvation, and this occurs by the day, by the hour, by the minute, by the second.

3. Most of us just go where ever we want, without even thinking that we could potentially be sold into Human-Trafficking style Slavery, or that our female loved-ones could quite possibly/probably be systematically gang-raped, just for stepping outside of their homes.

4. Most of us shop wherever we want, however we want, buying whatever our money can afford, while either not knowing or not caring that most of the clothes, computers, phones, etc., which we purchase, are produced in places where those who assemble, make, these products which we spend untold hundreds, thousands, millions, upon will probably never be able to afford one single thing that they’ve ever produced with their own hardworking hands.

5. Most of us just turn on the heat in the Winter & the A/C in the Summer, in such a very carefree manner, without knowing/caring that there are millions of people around the World, who suffer from heat-exhaustion when it’s hot, because they can’t afford A/C’s & freeze to death, because they can’t afford Heat, and/or whom don’t even have homes to even live in, to protect them from the Elements.

6. Most of us have no idea how easy it is to look into the sky & watch an Airplane go by, and just think nothing of it, while there are people whom are so afraid of anything flying over their heads, because they don’t know whether it’s just another  (Military) Airstrike/Drone-Strike, terrorizing their neighborhood, their city, their country.

7. Most of us complain about everything, from not having the “right-job”, to not having the “ideal-house”, while we, as an industrialized-society, especially those of us who live within the United States and/or other G-20 or G-8 nations are wealthier than about 80% of the rest of our Human family, in regards to just owning stuff.

8. Most of us watch the News & tolerate the Media to influence what we think & how we feel about, “Extremism”, “Totalitarianism” “Terrorism”, etc. & have no problem rallying behind Islamophobic/Xenophobic concepts, yet we tolerate the Western-World supporting governments that would, according to unbiased standards, be in fact classified as “Rogue-States” or “Totalitarian-Regimes”, “Extremists”, or “Terrorists”, who condemn their Citizenry to the exact same atrocities which were imposed upon millions of Human beings, in both Europe & North-Africa, during the reign of the 3rd-Reich, during the 1930’s & 1940’s.

Now, one may very well ask, “What’s really the exact point in all this?”…Good-Question…here’s the answer: we, as Humans, have often forgotten what it truly means to be a true Human being. Being a Human being is not only what’s in our DNA, it’s within our demeanor, our decorum, our character, all of the positive things which we can/should exert towards all the Creation of Allah, the Creator/Lord of the Universe are what make us truly Humans; however, when not in line, in sync with positivity, we’re really just as savage, and brutal as any wild beast in any natural environment.(Noble Qur’an: Chpt.7, V.179)

We must all, as Humans, actually care for one another, because, we’re all cut from the same exact Human-Cloth, patterned by Allah, sewn together by Adam & Eve, the Parents of Humanity (Peace be upon them both).(Noble Qur’an: Chpt.49, V.13) Then, we’re really no better, superior than anyone else: it’s only because of our possessions of power, wealth, privilege, etc., that clouds our better-judgement, and with the deception of ash-Shaytan/the Devil, inspires our egos, converting pure humility & confidence into malicious arrogance & narcissism.(Noble Qur’an: Chpt.114, V.4-6) But, if/when stripped of all of that, then, we’re really exactly the same with the same wants/needs, desires, good-nature, pride, hopes & dreams, as any other Human being out there in our World. So, in closing, let’s truly change, improve the way we view members of our Human family, because we are them & they are us.
