The Reason Why Khabib Is A Muslim-Hero

Standard

20181009_071659

In the Tradition of Cassius Clay (later known as Muhammad Ali [May Allah mercify him]), Khabib Nurmagomedov has taken the World by storm. He’s not only proven his Fighting-Skills to be Top-Notch, or that his Athletism is Unmatched within the UFC Professional-Arena-He’s offered more to the World than his current Undefeated-Record…he’s offered his very High-Profile, Unapologetic-Adherence to al-Islām. (As a Personality/Celebrity especially) being a Muslim is most definitely smothered with Islāmophobia, Scrutiny, Ridicule, etc. This is particularly true regarding where Khabib hails from: Dagestan, a Semi-Autonomous Region of the Russian Federation (Former USSR/Soviet Union). This Region, within the Greater Caucasus-Region of Asia, has had 2 Major-Legacies: al-Islām & Military-Resistance. As far back as atleast the 17th-Century, C.E., Dagestan has fought against being Militarily-Annexed by Russia. As a Result, the Muslims of Dagestan have historically evolved their Culture around Fighting-Spirit, Fighting-Skill, something which most of the Muslim-World has totally forfeited for Countless-Reasons. In fact, Dagestan is probably one of the only Places within the Muslim-World where just about every Able-Bodied Muslim-Male is 💯%-Ready for al-Qitāl/al-Jihād (Combat/Armed-Struggle)…yes, I said Jihād, the “J-Word”, if you don’t like it, then too bad for you…🤓😁😎

And, so much like Cassius Clay, Khabib Nurmagomedov evolved both religiously & personally out of Centuries worth of Theft, Rape, Murder, courtesy of Imperialism, Xenophobia, Islāmophobia, etc. via the Power of the Machine. So, of course, him being the Container of historical Spiritual/Psycho-Emotional Trauma, you can/should expect a Prize-Fighter to react in Ways which any other Muslim (who has never had Fights, never lived under Systemic-Oppression, never constantly/consistently lived under threat of Active-Wafare, etc.) wouldn’t behave (perhaps prior to as well as after a Fight), especially after fighting an Opponent like Conor McGreggor who blatantly attacked Khabib spiritually, psycho-emotionally, went out of his Way to directly/overtly mock al-Islām, his Family, his Home, etc. Ironically, there were/are many Muslims who’ve (instead of being happy, grateful, that such a High-Profile Muslim stuck it to such a High-Profile Islāmophobe) resorted to criticizing the Character of Khabib, as though he possessed absolutely 0 Islāmic-Character before, which is completely Unjust, Unfair, Dishonest, and Muslim-Coonish. Cassius Clay faced the exact same Scrutiny, when he refused to accept Military-Conscription Orders/the Draft to fight in the Vietnam-War. Also, Chris Jackson (Mahmoud Abdul Rauf), when he refused to stand for the Flag & National-Anthem of the United States, because of the Oppressive-Actions of the US-Government (via American Law-Enforcement & the American Judicial-System specifically) against Afro-Americans, which ironically hasn’t really changed that much since he was a Basketball-Player for the NBA: he was tarred&feathered even by Fellow-Muslims, accused of being “Unpatriotic”.

It’s almost as though the Muslim-Male is supposed to be afraid of his own Shadow…to just merely be Emmasculated within the Mundane, at any/all Levels. Well, Khabib has sparked something very special within the Psyche of the Muslim-Male, in Ways which no `Ālim/Scholar, no Imām/Religious-Leader, no Shaykh/Religious-Teacher, etc. has been able to do as of late. His mere presence, as a Visible-Muslim, is empowering to countless Muslim-Men, he represents Strength while the Muslim-World dwells pitifully in an unprecedented Duration of utter Weakness.

All in all, regardless to how one either favors or banes him: Khabib Nurmagomedov has without any Doubt has envigorated Generations of upcoming Muslim-Youth, Muslim-Men especially, to rise to the Occassion & to train to resist.

Mayweather Vs. Pacquiao: the Fight of the Century of the 21st-Century

Standard

Author’s-Note:
Floyd Mayweather, leader of The Money Team brings all of his ambition, skills, flamboyance to the table, against Manny Pacquiao Pac-Man: the World’s most famous Boxing underdog. These two Fighters have gone the distance, in their own careers, in their own rights. It’s so difficult to simply determine who’s the best. However, Saturday, May 2nd, 2015 is the fight to cast away any & all suspicions, doubts, mocking, joking. There will be only one Champion & only one loser. These two Giants of the Boxing-World will have to display all that brought them to the Boxing prominence which they’ve acquired.

Floyd Mayweather…Prior to the Fight:
(47-0 Career-Record)
47 Wins…0 Loses…0 Draws

Manny Pacquiao…Prior to the Fight:
(57-5-2 Career-Record)
57 Wins…5 Loses…2 Draws

The advantages

Mayweather:
Calculative, defensive, cautious, careful.

Pacquiao:
Relentless, daring, offensive, spontaneous.

The Setbacks

Mayweather:
Too reserved, doesn’t throw enough risky punches.

Pacquiao:
Throws too many risky punches, too aggressive.

Who won/Who lost & the Reasons why

Mayweather:
He won, because he stuck to his game-plan, which went in his favor: Defense. Even when Pacquiao had landed a significantly crucial hit, it didn’t incapacitate Mayweather. He was able to stay true to his fighting objective, which was to win the Bout, and he did. He was able to use Intelligence & Defense, to counter Pacquiao’s Offense & Risky-Punches. Round after round, Mayweather out-boxed & out-scored Pacquiao.

Pacquiao:
He lost because he stuck to his game-plan of Offense, without Defense. He clearly had opportunities to out-box Mayweather, however, without enacting any Defense, he was too little too late, to catch-up. He was out punched, Mayweather had landed much more punches, he was out-scored on the Score-Cards, this was just not Pacquiao’s fight. Although, he’s a great fighter, he didn’t prove his point in terms of being able to defeat Mayweather.

Now, what does this mean for Boxing?

Mayweather, when interviewed about possibly fighting Pacquiao for a Rematch, had simply stated that he’s planning on focusing on his fight in September of 2015. This is probably going to be Mayweather’s final fight. As he makes yet another mark on the Boxing World, by coming even closer to Rocky Marciano’s 49-0 Record, Mayweather, now at 48-0, may want to tie and/or even break Marciano’s record. That’s not a definitive conclusion or determination. However, what is certain is that all of the critics of Mayweather not being able to go the Distance and/or defeat Pacquiao have clearly been proven wrong. As far as Pacquiao, what’s to become of the rest of his career? Will he learn from this defeat, and still make his marks in Boxing, or will he decide to bow-out and retire, who knows? Nobody knows. That’s his decision to make. But, for now, it seems that with the potential retirement of Mayweather on the horizon, and Pacquiao being a lone contender, will there be any more Boxing bouts which will acquire the same caliber of fanfare, publicity, monies, celebrity, or will Boxing begin to be a yesteryear Sport? Will this be the last great fight which will be commented on, criticized, contested, questioned, or will there be other great bouts which we can all look forward to in our respective lifetimes? We’ll just have to wait and see.

Connecting Sports & Islam:

Standard

Author’s note:

Sports are some f the best forms of entertainment: they teach us how to strategize, organize, execute, implement discipline, teamwork, respect, humility, selflessness, goodwill, confidence, ambition, and all other types of positive-qualities necessary to properly function in this Mundane-Life. And, connecting Sports with Existence, there are so many innumerable parallels, which I plan to discuss with great-detail.

The best way to link Sports to Existence:

Imagine, life being like an actual sport, like Football, or Basketball, for instance, two of the most popular sports around, for obvious reasons. Now, link that to our lives. I know, it’s not necessarily something that people think about doing, but, check this gem out: Allah specifically says, in His noble book that this Mundane-Life is merely a game.(Noble Qur’an: Chpt.29, V.64)

But, for us playing the game of Life, we must decide whether we’re gonna play to win or play to loose. And, we also have to decide which playbook that we’ll use to get us through the game. At this point I’d like to delve deeper into the main point of this topic.

Basically, our existence is sectioned-off into three parts, just like a professional-sport: you have the Pre-Season, Regular-Season, and the Post-Season. I plan to expound upon all of these. Each of our aspects of existence reflects, directly, each phase of a sports-cycle.

Pre-Season/Pre-Puberty-

Anything & everything that occurs during this time, really isn’t counted, tallied, or mentioned on anyone’s record, regardless to how great or small an action is, or whether it’s positive or negative. During this time, it’s really a duration of grooming, to filter-out any negative elements to a person’s game, so that it doesn’t affect ones’ Regular-Season. It is at this time that you undergo significant practice, and acquire skills to take you to the next level.

Regular-Season/Puberty to Death-

Now, here’s when it all counts, this is the time to be serious, because everything, good, bad, or whatever, falls under your personal-stats. You have to play at the pinnacle of your abilities. There’s no room for error & there no excuses. No one can say,  “Well, it was because of this, that, and the 3rd…nah, ain’t nobody tryin’ to hear dat & ain’t nobody got time for dat…you’ve got to produce, or else. Every single thing that we do in the Pre-Season will have a direct affect on our ranking in the Post-Season. And, once the Regular-Season is finished, we can’t go back to improve or correct any errors, which were made, it’ll be too late for all of that. So, we gotta get things right, right now, while, our Regular-Season is still in play.(Noble Qur’an: Chpt.23, V.99 & 100)

The Post-Season/the Hereafter-

Known as Barzakh (mentioned directly in the Qur’an, as basically the realm of existence between ad-Dunya/the Mundane-Life & al-Akhirah/the Hereafter), the Post-Season of our existence will determine whether or not we make it to the championship game & whether we fall into the “winner takes all” category. Like any major sports (Footbal & Basketball most specifically), tere are 3-rounds of the playoffs. But, referring to the Hereafter, the 3-rounds are all played in the graves, where the Angels of Questioning will test you, as to what your Mundane religious-stauts was. They will aske you 3 specific questions: Who is your Lord?…What is your path/religion?…Who is your Prophet?

Now, depending upon how well you answer these 3-questions, respectively, this will determine whether or not you will successfully advance to the next round, if at all. And, ironically, it is your heart, your actions that will answer these questions for you, not necessarily your verbal-speech.(Abu-Dawud) With this being said, let me break down how the Post-Season works: Question #1 = 1st-Round, Question #2 = 2nd-Round, and Question # = 3rd-Round. Meaning, you will not/cannot advnce to the next-round, unless you answer each question correctly, in their exact orders.

Depending upon your answers to these questions, you’ll either advance, or be eliminated. But, unlike sports, within the Mundane, there’s no next-season; no one can ever say, “We’ll get em, next-year”…nah…that’s not happenin’, cause once your Mundane-Life, your Regular-Season of earthly-living is finished, there’s no turning back…We only get one season of Life, and we’ve only got one opportunity to be on the right team. And, Allah describes the qualities of the two most important teams to know about: Hizb-ush-Shaytan/the Team of the Devil, and Hizbullah/the Team of Allah. He describes them so very well, with such incredible clarity.(Noble Qur’an: Chpt.58, V.18-22) We dare not chose the wrong team. But, at the same time, our Free-Will is just like being a Free-Agent, we get to freely choose which team we wanna be on, without interference.

Then, we get to the final game, the championship game…just imagine that the NBA Finals champ game/NFL Super Bowl & the All-Star Game/NFL Pro Bowl were all the exact same event…Well, that kinda how the Day of Standing is gonna play out: Muhammad (Peace be upon him) has informed us of 7-types of persons, whom will be given the immense honor of being covered with the Shade of the Throne of Allah, from the the Sun, on the day where will be no shade from, it & that it will be a mile (or in other narrations, a foot above our heads) away, causing people to sweat, to the extent of sweating up to one’s ankles, or waists, or necks, or even drowning in one’s own sweat.(Bulugh-ul-Maram)

These 7-people are the all-stars & pro bowlers of Judgement-Day: they will be the best & brightest of the day, with Allah as their protector and ally, and they will have a most easy time, on this day, unlike some, or most. These are the persons whom we all must/should aspire to be, at all-times. So, all in all, knowing sporting-dynamics & relating them to Islam is very-important, so that we can better use a universal modality, which is universally beneficial, and be able to apply it to our spiritual-lives, in the hopes that it can help us achieve greater insight into the realities of the Mundane-Life, Life-after-Death, and what the Hereafter actually has in store for each/all of us.

Penn State has officially become the Catholic Church of College Sports:

Standard

As far back as 1994, according to a Grand Jury report, released by CNN, Jerry Sandusky, who had worked for Penn State University officially for 32 years prior to 1999, and was then allowed to stay on for another 12 years in a volunteer capacity at Penn State until this year, had been reported, probed and investigated, throughout his tenure as an employee at Penn State, for having the ugly history of touching & loving young men, in all of the wrong places. Yet, apparently, this was not good enough to compel the Penn State administration to go forth and press charges upon this man, or at the very least fire him, before this sex scandal became what it was: the single most disturbing & shocking scandal in the history of College Sports.

This monumental level of irresponsibility, carelessness and mismanagement of campus affairs has shaken the College Sports world to its very core, with the presumed “King of College Football”, Joe Paterno, at the center of such sexual perversion & misconduct within his own ranks. In spite of Paterno being recently dethroned by the “Nobles of Penn State”, the Penn State University Board of Trustees, evidently, the King is still wears his Collegiate crown & still commands his King Author-like authority, in the minds & hearts of  his loyal subjects, which consists of thousands of Penn State students, as well as millions of College Football fans around the world.

Unfortunately, it’s very obvious that the standard policy of Penn State has been a third-eye blind position. There were several eye-witness reports, from at least two fellow Penn State employees: Tim Calhoun, a campus janitor, and Mike McQuery a Wide-Receiver Football Coach, whom both had witnessed two separate accounts of sexual-misconduct committed by Sandusky, yet nothing substantial was done to bring Sandusky to account for even being accused of these allegations, it was just swept under the rug.

To add insult to injury,  the terrible irony is that those whom he was abusing were participants of a youth organization that he had founded, called the Second Mile Program, a Pennsylvaina non-for profit state-wide program for wayward youth. In my opinion, since Sandusky had done what he’s done, those youth who were in the circumference of Sandusky were much better off being as wayward youth-He basically used his position in this organization to get his demented rocks off, and maintain access to as many children as he could’ve gotten his sick hands on, subsequently scaring them for life.

But, that’s not all, the reports from both Penn State staff, as well as several victims themselves confirm that this twenty-year long string of abusive actions of Sandusky were done directly within the confines of Penn State campus grounds, like in the sports locker rooms, for example, where McQuery said that he witnessed Sandusky performing oral-sex upon a young man, and Calhoun said that he witnessed Sandusky leaving a locker room with a young man, as well as direct reports from the victims of Sandusky themselves. Even if all of these allegations were in fact false, there is absolutely no excuse on part of the Penn State authorities to not at least report these allegations to proper law-enforcement and/or childcare agencies-This is absolutely outrageous!!!

It just goes to show you how corruption and lack of concern for one’s fellow man can bring forth. With all of the rallies by the student body of Penn State in support of Paterno, along with threats targeted towards McQuery, for having a ounce of courage to step up & admit that much wrong was committed without proper investigation, where’s the support for the victims & their families, who trusted people like Sandusky with their children, who let them down in one of the most heinous ways possible. When the Penn State Board of Trustees finally decided to terminate Paterno, people actually went up in arms, in the streets, not caring that the innocence of several persons had been violated indiscriminately, by a monster, whom should be executed for his crimes against children, and the fact that this occurred for the most part uninterrupted, unchecked and not taken seriously at all by the members of the Penn State Papacy at the highest levels, is oh so similar to so many of these notoriously infamous Catholic Church sex-scandals, that for years were left unchallenged.

My question is really this: How & why does a University employee accumulate that much power & influence at the highest levels of Campus administration, to be given innumerable amounts of passes, to continue working and volunteering at a place where he’s been sited for repeated sexual-offences for nearly twenty years?!!!

The answer: Well, there is no reasonable answer for this amount of lackadaisical immorality on the part of Sandusky, nor the incredible irresponsibility & stupidity on the part of Penn State authorities, for failing to notify proper law-enforcement to deal with this ever-important issue.
