What if Muslim Sectarian-Groups were Diseases or Drugs?!!!

Standard

Abstinence

Author’s-Note:
I’ve often wondered to myself, the question that I’ve chosen to title this article. I’ve wondered it, because, it seems to me, and I could be dead-wrong, that Sectarianism, among Muslims, particularly, especially, have been just as destructive, if not more destructive than Diseases and/or Narcotics, which have wreaked havoc on the Human-Race, as a result of careless Substance-Abuse, the promotion of Sexual-Promiscuity, corrupt governmental-policies, the Drug-Game/Drug-Trafficking, the Adult-Film Industry, etc. At any rate, this is what I’ve come up with, and I will explain why I’ve made comparisons between Sectarian-Groups & Diseases/Drugs. Really, the whole point of this article is to educate & encourage Muslims to abstain from the harms of Religious-Sectarianism among Muslims, just as though someone would help to steer People, generally, from things such as Unprotected-Sex and/or Drug-Abuse-These 2-things, respectively: if one isn’t properly educated on these issues, can/will face disastrous results. And, as Muslims, we ought to want what’s best for the People, not what’s worse for them. And, in this case, Religious-Sectarianism is just as destructive for our Souls, as Casual/Unprotected, Non-Marital Sex, and/or Drug-Abuse can/does have on the Human-Body.

I’ve listed several Sectarian-Groups, in comparison to several Diseases/Narcotics:

If Sectarian-Groups were Diseases, they would be the following-

HIV

1. Salafism=H.I.V.:
HIV is the Human Immuno-Deficiency Virus; its purpose is to destroy all of what’s in its circumference. It aims to engulf, consume all in its path. That’s exactly what Salafism is: the objectives of those whom claim to adhere to one or more forms of Salafism stand on the stance that it is they whom are upon the true way of as-Salaf-us-Salih/the Righteous-Ancestors (as-Sahabah/the Companions [of Muhammad], as well as at-Tabi`in/the Followers [of the Companions])-they have come to the conclusion that all those whom don’t conform to their undestanding are completely astray, and therefore, either through religious or political means, deem to crush & destroy any/all other groups which are not in accordance to their teachings. Now, there are several strands of Salafism: conventional Salafi-Movement, al-Ikhwan-ul-Muslimun/the Muslim-Brotherhood, etc. Many will not believe me; but, they’re all under one: the origins of the Salafis & Ikhwanis were both founded upon similar principles, by similar influences (Rashid Rida & Muhammad Abduh), in Egypt, during the mid 19th-century.(https://garethbryant.wordpress.com/2013/12/06/hujjahagainstsaudiarabia)

Cancer

2. Sufism=Cancer:
Cancer has many forms, many origins, many outcomes, much like Sufism…Sufism has a very lengthy history among Muslims; however, what is not known is the fact that they are just as volatile as any other group, and here’s why: they take a posture, not all, but, enough of them, that they, alone, possess the keys to spiritual-awareness, nearness, closeness to Allah, and that’s very deadly/dangerous. It’s like they deem themselves, largely, not exclusively, as they only group to have a valid formula for a Muslim to pursue any type of Islamic “Spiritual-Path”. This posture is in and of itself, Cancerous. This sectarian posture has spread, very far & wide, just like any typical Cancer, if/when not dealt with, clarified, corrected, immediately.

Syphilis

3. Shi`ism=Syphilis:
Syphilis is a very stifling disease: it’s one of the cause of Dementia, after all, if/when not treated, just like many of the many pathological beliefs among Shi`is, that they alone truly respect/love Ahl-al-Bayt/the Prophetic-Household, that only certain individuals qualify as being from among Ahl-il-Bayt, that there were people whom usurped the Khilafah/Islamic-Authority, after the death of Muhammad (Peace be upon him), that they (not largely, but, enough of them) even go so far as to condemn certain Companions (May Allah be pleased with them all-together) of not only being Companions, but, as well, being open-sinners, corrupt, and worse yet, not even being Muslims.

4. Ahamdism=Down-Syndrome:
Down-Syndrome, as we all know is a genetic-disorder, which compromises the development of the Human-Intellect (this is in no way meant to make fun of persons with Down-Syndrome by the way…seriously). Likewise, Ahamdism manages to provide the same results: diluted intellect, as a result of lack of knowledge of basic textual-realities. Most (not all) Ahamdis (followers of Ahmadism) have this thwarted belief that there exists Prophethood after Muhammad (Peace be upon him) & these beliefs were taught by a man named Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, who claimed that he was endowed by Allah with Prophethood. Now, the comparison between Ahmadism & Down-Syndrome are similar as in both cause a person to be intellectually-compromised. The only difference is that Down-Syndrome is inheritable by birth, while Ahmadism is exclusively a personal-choice to adhere to. Basic knowledge of the text (the Qur’an & Prophetic-Tradition) clearly shows the contradictions of Ahmadism’s claims of Prophethood existing after Muhammad. But, sadly, those whom are adherents of Ahmadism don’t study/learn from classic Islamic texts, because, if the truly did, they wouldn’t even dare to believe the teachings of any False-Prophet.

Stupidity

5. Nation of Islam=Stupidity:
Stupidity is definitely a disease & very few people manifests this level of clinical-stupidity better than the NOI: they claim that Allah is a Human being (Wali Farad AKA Fard Muhammad), the “Black-Man” is “god” & the “White-Man” is the “devil”; yet, ironically, the founder of the NOI, Wali Farad, was not only Non-Black, but, he was actually 1/2-White…And, that’s just some of their erroneously idiotic beliefs, like believing that Elijah Poole (AKA Elijah Muhammad) was a Prophet, even though he received no revelation & the fact that he was a straight-up pimp & con of the African-American Community, along with being a renowned womanizer & adulterer, none of these qualities being that of a Prophet, by the way…so, there you go.(https://garethbryant.wordpress.com/2014/03/03/wallacepoole)

Gonorrhea

6. Kharijism=Gonorrhea:
As nasty as the disease itself, Kharijism is a very debilitating sectarian-group, which requires that its members disregard the sanctity of fellow Muslims not adhering to their views.  Historically, they’ve been responsible for so much turmoil within the Muslim-World for centuries, and everywhere they go they bring destruction with them.

Herpes

7. Qur’anism=Herpes:
Qur’anism is a sect that just won’t go away. Once the came on the scene, with their sick belief that the Qur’an is the only text that Muslims need, to function religiously, when there are so many things, Islamically, that are not at all explained within the Qur’an, but, are in fact detailed within the documented Prophetic-Tradition of Muhammad (Peace be upon him).

Clamydia

8. Modernists=Chlamydia:
Chlamydia has the ability to even cause blindness, among other unfortunate damages to the Human body, and so does Modernism. It causes Muslims to be blind to the fact that the enemies of Islam prpagate the negative actions & interpretations of Islam, among the Muslims & in the Public-Sphere (via Media), to such a disgusting extent, that Muslim now feel the need to water-down their own practice of Islam, just to appease the Public, to make themselves seem non-threatening to the same persons who constantly attack our way of Life, our Lifestyle, our Religion. Instead of just standing up for Islam, by being proper Muslims, as good examples for others to follow, they just scrape away bit-by-bit, and piece-by-piece, more and more of their own Islam, thinking that this is a good way to get accept by the enemies of Islam, while blinding themselves to the truth of what Allah clearly states within His own Book, “The Jews & Christians will never be pleased with you, unless you accept their religion.”.(Noble Qur’an: Chpt.2, V.120) The Jews & Christians changed their Books-of-Revelation, in both text & meaning; now, the Muslims change their Book-of-Revelation, in meaning. The Jews & Christians celebrate the births of their dead/presumed-dead Prophets (Peace be upon them); now, the Muslims celebrate the death of Muhammad (Peace be upon him). The Jews & Christians are starting to support “Same-Gender Marriage”; now, the Muslims are supporting “Same-Gender Marriage”, and so on.

If Sectarian-Groups were Narcotics, they would be the following-

Cryatal Meth

1. Salafism=Crystal-Meth:
Currently, the most lethal drug around, Meth has disastrous effects on both the mental & physical health of anyone/everyone who indulges in that particular substance. Likewise, when it comes to Salafism, the “end-all-to-be-all” so-called “Saved-Sect”, this as well has detrimental results, for those who adhere to this group, as well as those allow themselves to succumb to the teachings of this group. Meth imposes the following side-effects:

a. Meth-Mouth: This occurs as the result of the loss of teeth, from pathological, long-term use of Meth. This plays out in Salafism as the loss of family, friends, etc., because as a Salafi, you deem one’s self so religiously elite, that they tend to treat others whom they deem as less than them religiously like utter garbage, which often results in family-ties, friendship-ties completely damaged beyond repair.

b. Obsessive-Behavior: This occurs as a result of Salafis being obsessed with claiming to be upon the Way of the Salaf, while their actions are often the exact opposite of what they claim, or call others to. the tend to be very arrogant, obnoxious, unyielding, judgmental, boorish, etc. They have this superiority-complex, in which they feel entitled to think less of other Muslims, just because of their claims to be members of al-Firqat-in-Najiyah/The Saved-Sect

Marijuana

2. Sufism=Marijuana:
Marijuana gives a person a sense of carefree, happy frolicking-in-the grass feeling, much like Sufism. Sufism, according to many adherents, is based upon what is known as Tasawwuf/Spirituality, which is something already infused within Islam without the need of any external discipline to be added or made-up. Sufism often claims to give its adherents a sense of spiritual enhancement, via Sufi practices, etc. But, the problem is that generally, based upon what many Sufi adherents state themselves, as though they alone possess the ability to truly connect to Allah, I view that as wrong. No one has to be of any particular sect, to acquire a relationship with one’s Creator. And, much like Marijuana (which is actually a plant, that has been known to be used medically), when used incorrectly, can & often does have dangerous results, Sufism, as well, when those who adhere to this attempt to monopolize on Spirituality/Spiritualism.

Heroin

3. Shi`ism=Heroin:
When it comes to Shi`ism, Heroin is a good comparison. And, I’ll explain why. Heroin, as we know, is an Opioid, that causes immediate addiction. And, with something like Shi`ism, which stresses the point of respecting/loving Ahl-al-Bayt (the family of Muhammad [Peace be upon him]), even though their are scores of persons who many/most Shi`i don’t even consider to be from among Ahl-il-Bayt.(for more information about Ahl-il-Bayt: http://www.garethbryant.wordpress.com/2012/11/04/theperfectsolutiontothewholeahlulbaytissue) However, this “respect/love” becomes very pathological, addictive, fairly quickly & easily, with the advent of having a lot of animosity over historical happenings, like Abu-Bakr, `Umar & `Uthman (May Allah be pleased with them) becoming Khulafa’/Islamic-Rulers before the paternal 1st-Cousin of Muhammad, `Ali (May Allah be pleased with him), which gave rise to so many unsettled disputes between Shi`is & Sunnis, that have never been resolved even in the present-day. Also, in terms of the assassinations of `Ali, as well as his two sons: al-Hasan & more specifically/especially al-Husayn (May be pleased with them both), has caused many Shi`is to indulge in unwarranted beliefs/religious-stances regarding certain Companions: Abu-Bakr, `Umar, Mu`awiyah, etc. (May Allah be pleased with them), as well as indulging in religious-practices that, are by definition, completely against Islamic-Teachings. When conversing with many/most Shi`is, concerning their takes on historical events about the history of Islam after the death of Muhammad & their positions regarding certain Companions, seems on the surface, very convincing, until one realizes that their take on history, certain Companions are very biased, to say the least.

Cocaine

4. Ahmadism=Cocaine:
Cocaine gives a person a sense deep nostalgia. This drug makes things seem so much the opposite of what’s really there. So, Ahmadism is no different: Ahmadism gives people the impression that Prophethood didn’t die with Muhammad (Peace be upon him). Hence, the desire to follow the teachings of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad. The pathology that is believing in Prophethood after Muhammad is completely unfounded in Islamic-Teachings. It’s as though the Ahmadis are in fact sadated religiously, caught in a sad trance, believing that the founder of this movement of theirs is rightly guided.

Crack

5. Nation of Islam=Crack:
Just like how Crack is a cheap, easy-to-move by-product of Cocaine, the Nation of Islam is exactly that, a cheap by-product of Ahmadism. The Nation of Islam was actually founded ban Ahmadi, by the name of Wali Farad (AKA Fard Muhammad), who the members of the N.O.I. regard as “Allah incarnate” & Elijah Poole (AKA Elijah Muhammad) as the “Messenger of Allah”. So, it’s very easy, by virtue of who their founder was, to tell that their are some similarities between the NOI & Ahmadism, like the belief in Prophecy after Muhammad, etc.

Ecstasy

6. Kharijism=Ecstasy: Ecstasy has people all messed-up. Just like this substance has one in a constant fantasy realm, of perverse longing to acquire gratification, so are the effects of being a Khariji. Kharijism, just like Ecstacy, causes their victims the pursuit of a thrill, that places them at the pinnacle of what they set out for. For those who use Ecstacy, they deem to pursue sexual prowess. While those who indulge in Kharijism, they deem to indulge in self-righteousness. Both who are addicted to these substances

Angel Dust

7. Qur’anism=Angel-Dust/PCP:
Angel-Dust is a narcotic, which causes, among so many things: imbalance, of moods/emotions, as well as general anatomical equilibrium. Likewise, with Qur’ansim, they loose their balance, when they claim that the Qur’an is all that’s needed for guidance for Humanity, after Muhammad (Peace be upon him). The bogus claim for this rhetoric, by its adherents, the Qur’aniyyun/Qur’anis is based upon their pathological mistrust for Humans, in dealing with Revelation. Basically, they claim that only the Qur’an has been properly protected & preserved, whereas, Ahadith (singl. Hadith/Recording: Prophetic-Statements [of Muhammad]) have not been preserved in the same care as the Qur’an, and/or that Ahadith were only recorded centuries after the death of Muhammad. Now, some big problems arise:

a. It’s a known historical fact that both the Qur’an as well as Prophetic-Statements were in fact recorded during the lifetime of Muhammad, by many, countless of his Companions (May Allah be pleased with them altogether). So, how could it possibly be that they trust those who recorded the Qur’an, word-for-word, in the current form that has been preserved in, for the past 14-centuries, yet they distrust the recordings of Ahadith, which were in turn recorded by the same exact persons that recorded the Qur’an.(https://garethbryant.wordpress.com/2013/08/17/quranandsunnahjointly)

b. How can they possibly learn how to induct someone into Islam, make Salah/Prayer (5-times per day), commit to Siyam/Fasting (during the month of Ramadhan), give Zakah/Obligatory-Charity, make Hajj/Pilgrimage, any of the most basic tents of Islam, which according to the Shari`ah/Islamic-Law a Muslim?

Think about it!!!

LSD

8. Modernists=LSD:
This, among the others, is possibly one of, if not the most destructive of them all. In the 1950’s & 1960’s, C.E., LSD had been used for psychotherapy purposes, for was perceived to possess therapeutic value, in the treatment of alcoholism, pain and cluster headache relief, spiritual purposes, to enhance creativity, etc. However, several government organizations, like the Drug Enforcement Agency, in the United States, through their own research-studies, have come to the conclusion that LSD produces, enhances, none of the above that were sought after during the middle part of the 20th-century, C.E. Now, in comparison to Modernism, it’s the same results. Modernism, among Muslims deems to try to rid Islam of archaic “beliefs” and/or “practices”, which they have allowed themselves to believe to be no longer relevant, useful, important, crucial, to Islam and/or Muslims, in our Modern-World. However, ironically, just like how it has been found out that LSD has no positive results, neither does Modernism. In fact, it actually takes Muslims deeper into the depths of theological/religious darkness than anything that they claim to rid from Islam. Some examples are the following:

a. The acceptance of the ideals of Evolution/Darwinism which, in many ways completely contradict Islamic-Teachings, especially when it comes to the advocacy of Agnosticism/Atheism: the doubt/denial of the existence of a Divine-Creator of the Universe, as well as the fallacy of the origin of the Human-Race being the anatomical-descendants of Primates, etc.

b. The acceptance of degenerate social-practices, such as Homosexuality, Same-Gender Marriage, Abortion, etc.

c. The denial of practices that Islam blatantly allows, such as Youth-Marriage, etc.

And, the list goes on, and, yes…and on…no need for any more examples. All of these pathologies are propagated by Modernists, among Muslims, because they believe that they’re promoting the common-good, but, in fact, they either don’t realize or don’t even care that they’re subsequently being used as proxies, for a global Non-Islamic agenda, paving the way for ad-Dajjal/the Anti-Christ, based upon the freedom to do what one wants secularly, and to be free from any types of moral standards, religiously.

And, I do know that there will be plenty of People who will not take very kindly to what I’ve written. However, that’s Life…deal with it. Now, if I’m wrong, then, by all means correct me, if you can…I’ll be waiting for what I hope to be a lot of feedback.

The Tattoo-Issue: An Islamic-Perspective

Standard

tattoo pic

This is a fairly controversial-subject, within the Muslim-World, historically as well as contemporarily, something that I had only found out recently, the issue of Tattooing: to do or not to do. Honestly, I, myself, early on, as a New-Muslim, had actually, seriously, considered & was prepared to get a  Tattoo. But, once I learned the general Islamic prohibition against it, I was very unsettled: I had wondered to myself why would something like a Tattoo be such a religious-issue. It has taken a considerable amount of time for me to actually come to the correct-conclusion about this issue, and the conclusion is fairly-simple: Tattoos are Mahrum/Haram (Prohibited/Unlawful). Now, there are a lot of people (both Muslims & Non-Muslims alike) whom will in fact take issue with this particular stance, regarding this issue, and that’s okay…I’ll explain why I chose to arrive at this conclusion, after considerable study, textually (via the Qur’an & Sunnah/Prophetic-Tradition).

Allah states, very clearly, within His Noble-Book, “There is no justifiable change for the creation of Allah.”(Noble Qur’an: Chpt.30, V.30). Now, this means that we are to be grateful for how Allah has fashioned our bodies, and to not attempt to make “improvements” or “adjustments”, based upon our selfish egos/desires. When you get a Tattoo, you’re basically stating that Allah didn’t complete you, that you know have to spend money, endure unnecessary-pain, etc., in order to gratify one’s self, instead of just being grateful for the way that Allah has already formed us.

Then, there’s also this: Muhammad (Peace be upon him) has stated that we are not to cause (unnecessary) Harm, either upon ourselves, nor upon others. And, also, Muhammad quotes Allah, as Allah has stated, “Oh, My Property/Servants!!! Verily, I’ve made Oppression prohibited upon Myself, as well as between you (the Creation). So, do not oppress one another (yourselves)!!!”.(an-Nawawi)

This Verse (from the Qur’an) & these Prophetic-Narrations show us that any type of Oppression (large or small), either to one’s own self, or to others, is completely (Islamically) prohibited. Because, the Islamic definition of Oppression is actually: to place something where it doesn’t belong, where it can damage, or cause Harm, and it’s Islamic wrong to harm people, unless Islamically justified, and there’s never any Islamically justified reason to harm one’s own self.(Lisan-ul-`Arab/The Language of the Arab: Lexicon of the Arabic-Language)

Let’s stay on-topic with the self-harm: When getting a Tattoo, what happens? Well, you get stuck with a needle-machine, for quite awhile, depending on how sophisticated the Tattoo in-question actually is: there’s significant, (unnecessary) pain/blood-loss, that one endures, for no Islamically sound, or universally-intelligent reason, at all. Then, there’s the (very-high) risks of getting infections, diseases (most common HIV, Hepatitis, etc.). You then have the ink of this Tattoo tainting your blood, which could, in the near/distant future, cause many (potential) health-complications, as a result of this ink inserted into the body.

Now, it’s obvious why people would have a problem with what I’ve thus mentioned, especially if they are among those whom profit from the Tattoo Industry: people like me are bad-for-business. And, also, for those whom may or may not even be Muslims, they would obviously have a problem with my statements, because they view it as a valid element of either individual, social, cultural, expression. But, let’s focus on the Muslims, for just a minute: who created us? Who sent-down/revealed Guidance to us, via Revelation, Textual-Scriptures? Who has the ultimate right to dictate to the Creation, Humanity, etc., what is right, wrong, proper, improper, etc.? Yeah, you’ve got it: Allah, the Creator/Lord of the Universe: it is He whom has [provided us with existence, life, family, Guidance, etc. And, likewise, it is He, alone, whom is worshipworthy & it is He, alone whom has the ultimate-right to dictate our beliefs, statements, actions, behavior, conduct, etc.

So, with that being said, regardless to whether you’re a Muslim or Non-Muslim, proponent or opponent (to Tattoos/Tattooing), Scholar or Layman: just, please, simply digest what I’ve mentioned, just for a few minutes or moments, then, if you really feel like I’ve not made my case concrete enough, then, you definitely have the full-option to ignore what I’ve presented. At the end, it is Allah whom will judge us all, according to His own standards & we all will be held accountable for what we’ve done & what we haven’t done, what we knew & what we didn’t know, what we adhered to & what we ignored…May Allah guide us all…Amen

What is Islamic-Feminism/What is A Muslim-Feminist?!!!

Standard

Author’s note:

Since Feminism has taken a very significant foothold, within the greater Muslim-World, in our modern-age, as a direct-result of the atrocities brought on by Misogyny, many Muslims, both Men & Women, whom are religiously in favor of Feminism, have decided to coin the term “Islamic-Feminism/Muslim-Feminist”, to identify with the greater Feminist-Movement, with an Islamic/Religious spin on how it should be applied to the lives of Muslims, Muslim-Women, particularly/especially. So, now, we have Muslims, from everywhere, whether their in Muslim or Non-Muslim nations, adhering to this new-wave of Feminism, called “Islamic-Feminism”, attempting to consolidate the fundamentals of Feminism & Islam, together, as though they are one in the same.

The following is my conclusion, after attending the highly-anticipated, highly-controversial, ICNYU Shuruq event, “Why All Muslims Should Be Feminists”:

A Muslim being forthright concerning the pursuit of socio-religious equality, between Men & Women, doesn’t make one an Islamic-Feminist/Muslim-Feminist, it simply makes one a Muslim. Just like: wanting to adhere to Islam, based upon the way of the Salaf (the Sahabah/Companions [May Allah be pleased with them all-together] & theTab’in/Followers [May Allah mercify them all-together]) doesn’t make one a Salafi-Muslim, wanting the global-unity of the Muslims make one an Ikhwani-Muslim, having respect/love for Ahl-il-Bayt/the People of the House (the Muslim-Relatives of Muhammad [Peace be upon him] & their descendants) doesn’t make one a Shi`i-Muslim, striving to establish a, solid, spiritual-connection with Allah doesn’t make one a Sufi-Muslim. The term Feminism, Islamic-Feminism, etc. are just excuses, among many others to attempt to monopolize elements of Islam, which have existed, before the inception of these respective coined-concepts & movements. In other words, calling to “Feminism”, regardless of intent, is just as divisive as calling to “Salafism”, “Shi`ism”, “Sufism”, ‘Nepotism’, “Ethnocentrism” “Racism”, “Nationalism”, “Classim”, “Chauvinism”/”Sexism” or any/all other ‘ism’s’ out there.

It’s okay to be Non-Sectarian: The Muslim’s guide to stay Sect-free

Standard

Author’s note:
This particular article is exclusively based upon a discussion which I had with one of my Facebook followers. They had asked me a very fair & valid question, in regards to my religious-identity. They had asked me, “Why are you a Non-Sectarian Muslim?”. This term, that I very often refer to myself as, I’m sure, is something which was unfamiliar to this particular individual, as it is just as unfamiliar to many, if not most Muslims, globally, even though, in practicality, the vast majority of Muslims, regardless of their upbringing, are in fact Non-Sectarian, relative to their everyday-lives, as Muslims, without even realizing it. I decided to answer their question as honestly as Humanly possible, without concealing my general disdain for Sectarianism overall, and the following below is what my response to them was.

I consciously choose to be a Non-Sectarian Muslim, because of the Hadith/Prophetic-Statement of Muhammad (Peace be upon him), when he had drawn a line in the sand, among his Companions (May Allah be pleased with them), and said to them that this line is the as-Sirat-ul-Mustaqim/the Straight-Path. He then drew branched-off lines, like branches springing from a tree. He then stated that each branch has a Shaytan/Devil upon each of these diverted paths, springing off of the initial-line which Muhammad had drawn in the sand, calling people to misguidance.(ibn-Majah, Ahmad, al-Bazzar)

Primarily, anyone whom is calling you to individuals & ideologies, as opposed to calling you to Allah, His Messenger and knowledge+action, then this person/these people are to stay away from, as much as Humanly possible. Ironically, all Firaq/Sectarian-Groups have the (universal) pathological habit of giving themselves away, to those whom they are calling to, to join them, by doing exactly what I’ve already said, which is calling people to ideologies, as opposed to Allah, His Messenger, and knowledge+action.

I’ll give some examples of Muslim-Sects:

1. The Salafis-
Being a former Salafi, I have a pretty well-grounded, in-depth knowledge about how these people actually work, and my criticism about them is very fair & honest: The Salafis often attempt to monopolize the fellowship of as-Salaf (the 3-generations of Muslims after Muhammad [Peace be upon him]: as-Sahabah/the Companions [May Allah be pleased with them all-together], and generations 1 & 2 of at-Tabi`in/the Followers [of as-Sahabah]). Meaning, they basically claim that they are the only true religious-inheritors of as-Salaf, in both word & deed. Also, they specifically claim to be those included within al-Firqat-in-Najiyah/the Saved-Group (those whom are referred to as the only group of Muslims whom will be safe to never have to engage the Fire at all in the Hereafter). These claims of theirs are not only inaccurate & unfounded, but also very religiously-pompous & religiously-dangerous. These claims have caused many, if not most Salafis, to adopt a very negative, arrogant, entitled, religious-posture towards other Muslims, as though the Salafis are the most-elite among the Muslims, as though the Salafis some type of religious special-forces.

2. The Sufis-
I’ve had, historically & contemporaneously, significant contact & discourse with Sufis, from various persuasions & backgrounds. Their angle is basically this: Sufis very often attempt to monopolize upon Tassawuf (Spirituality/Spiritualism). Meaning, they largely claim that they possess the keys to “Spiritual-Islam”, where ironically, there’s really no such thing as “Spiritual-Islam”, because, Spirituality is an automatic/default element of Islam, that’s always existed within Islam. And, their call, I think is very unique & evasive, as opposed to the Salafis, or Shi`is (I’ll get to the Shi`is, don’t worry): they largely, almost exclusively, use tell-tale terms, to people, which won’t necessarily seem red-flagish. These terms are: “Teacher” as well as “Shaykh” (“Teacher” & “Shaykh” are always used interchangeably among Sufis). Very often, people whom are of a Sufi persuasion/orientation attempt to convince people that they need a “Teacher” for this or a “Shaykh” for that. And, this often sounds really good, to have a constant instructor to help you find your religious-way. The problem is that this is just one of many steps towards delving deeper into a sect, like any other sect out there.(For more info. about Spirituality, look here:https://garethbryant.wordpress.com/2011/12/04/mythoughtsonspiritualityvsreligiosity)

3. The Shi`is-
The Shi`is are perhaps the most outgoing, among these other groups whom I’ve mentioned, especially in light of what they mainly call to…yes…you’ve guessed it…they claim to monopolize the respect & love that all Muslims must, by default, have for Ahl-il-Bayt/the People of the House (the Muslim family-members & of Muhammad [Peace be upon him]). That sounds just-great, except with one major problem (among many other problems with Shi`is, but we’ll just focus upon this particular problem): Shi`is, largely, only consider the maternal-descendants of Muhammad (Peace be upon him) to be of Ahl-il-Bayt, which is very problematic, and has (both historically & contemporaneously) caused immense strife between the greater Sunni & Shi`i factions of our Ummah/Community.(For more info. concerning Ahl-il-Bayt, look here: https://garethbryant.wordpress.com/2012/11/04/theperfectsolutiontothewholeahlulbaytissue)

4. The Kharijis-
Better known as al-Khawarij/the Departers, these people have been held responsible for the deaths of `Uthman, `Ali, several other Companions (May Allah be pleased with them all-together), as well as other righteous Muslims, innocents generally, several political/military usurpations, upheavals, revolutions, terrorism, and the list goes on & on. At present, very few, if anyone would overtly refer to themselves as the Khawarij, simply out of fear of ostracization. However, there are several splinter-groups, which have adopted, either from their inceptions or later on in their evolutions as groups, the ideology of the Kharijis, which is “Restoration of the Khilafah”: this is their battle-cry, even though as a group/entity, ironically, they are the ones, among the Muslims, anyway, whom have largely contributed to the destruction of geo-political stability even when the Khilafah was established, and even in modern times (particularly post-WWII) have completely contributed to the Muslims’ disdain for even attempting to establish the Khialafah anywhere, because the vast majority of Muslims, especially now would much rather live under the conditions which they now face, then to have people like the Kharijis in any type of real governmental power/authority.

Unlike most typical Salafis, Sufis or Shi`is, most, if not all Kharijis will not be forthright and just say “Salam…hey, I’m a Khariji!!!”. However, there are some significant, modern, groups whom have amassed a particularly significant following within the past 2-decades, namely al-Muhaajiroon (originally starting in the U.K. & spreading to the U.S. during the 1990’s & fell apart shortly before/after 9/11), Revolution-Muslims, and Islamic-Thinkers’ Society. Now, with RM & ITS, they’re basically the exact same organizations, except with a different hierarchy of leadership & fellowship; but, in practicality, they’re both under one. With the exception of the Salafi-Movement, which in all-fairness has really only been in existence for less than a century, and other historical sectarian-groups (with their own separate roots, whom have died out and/or have had their ideologies absorbed into other sectarian-groups), basically, any/most other sectarian-groups, historically/contemporarily, would largely have either Sufi, Shi`i, or Khariji roots.

One of the other reasons as to why I so choose to not follow any sectarian-groups is the simple fact that none of these groups or individuals calling to these groups will have any say as to who goes to either the Paradise or the Fire. And, even on Yawm-il-Qiyamah/the Day of Standing, Allah describes it as a day when a person will abandon his own siblings, parents, spouses & children.(Noble Qur’an: Chpt.80, V.34-36) Now, just based upon Human-Nature, these 4-types of persons: siblings, parents, spouses, children…literally, in this order, are generally, universally, recognized as the closest people to any Human being, under normal, harmonious, circumstances.

So, if someone, regardless to what knowledge that they have, or what sect that they’re calling to, will abandon me on the day that matters most, then , I, as an individual, deem it, within my best-interest, necessary to abandon them/these sectarian-groups here in the Mundane, so that I won’t be heart-broken, as to when they won’t be in my corner in the Hereafter. And, by virtue of all that I’ve mentioned, regarding not adhering to any sectarian-groups, I choose to not risk treading upon the path that can/will lead me astray.

al-Husayn & the Massacre of Karbala’:

Standard

Author’s note:
It’s a must that I mention that the events, known today as the Massacre of Karbala’, which caused the execution of the maternal-grandson of Muhammad (Peace be upon him), al-Husayn ibn-`Ali ibn Abi-Talib (May Allah be pleased with him), was indeed a true tragedy, and is globally, Islamically, recognized, among all Muslim sectarian-lines, as something that should not have happened, and as well, didn’t even have to happen; but, unfortunately, it did happen, and we, as Muslims have to acknowledge this, objectively examine why it happened & move on in order to move forward, and unify one another, and to cease & desist some of the many unnecessary divisions between the Muslims, because of this issue alone.

Now, obviously, this subject has caused great controversy, both historically, as well as in the present-day still, because of the magnitude of this event, even to the extent as to how this event should or should not be commemorated, among Muslims from various & all sectarian-persuasions-This event has grabbed the attention, emotions, and guilt of so many Muslims, that there are even celebrations, literally around the world, commemorating this event, with people doing things which are completely contrary to Islamic-Teachings. What I attempt to do is to bring some unbiased-light, as a Muslim, loyal to no religious-sect, to this event & the events surrounding & influencing it.

The following is based (primarily but not exclusively) upon the historical writings of Maqtal-il-Husayn/The Murder of al-Husayn, by Abi-Mikhnaf Lut ibn-Yahya ibn-Sa`id ibn-Mikhnaf al-Kufi & Tarikh-il-Rusul wal-Muluk/The History of Messengers & Rulers, by Abi-Ja`far Muhammad ibn-Jarir at-Tabari, two of some of the foremost Islamic-Historians of their time, as well as al-Khulafa’-ir-Rashidin/The Rightly-Guided Islamic-Rulers, by the famous Islamic-Historian, Jalal-id-din as-Suyuti, which chronicles the Khilafat/Islamic-Rulerships of the following persons: `Abdullah ibn Abi-Quhafah/Abu-Bakr as-Siddiq, `Umar ibn-il-Khattab, `Uthman ibn-`Affan, `Ali ibn Abi-Talib, al-Hasan ibn-`Ali, Mu`awiyah ibn Abi-Sufyan (May Allah be pleased with them).

`Uthman ibn-`Affan: His assassination & Civil-War-
Realistically, it would be unfair to mention the Massacre of Karbala’, without first mentioning & examining, with an unbiased-lens, all of the events which not only influenced what happened at Karbala’, but, what had directly caused it. Let’s start with the martyrdom of `Uthman ibn-`Affan (a Companion, twice Son-in-Law of Muhammad [making him a legitimate-member of Ahl-il-Bayt/Members of the Prophetic-Household of Muhammad] and 3rd-Khalifah [the globally-recognized/accepted leader of the Muslims] of Islam); after the vicious torture/assassination of `Uthman, at the hands of three cowardly assailants, from among the Khawarij (the 1st recognized sectarian-group from among the Muslims, thus personally prophesied by Muhammad, during his own lifetime [al-Bukhari & ibn-Majah]), `Ali ibn Abi-Talib (a Companion, paternal 1st-cousin, son-in-law of Muhammad [making him a legitimate-member of Ahl-il-Bayt ] and 4th-Khalifah) had been selected & nominated, by the senior-leadership of the Companions of Muhammad, to succeed `Uthman, as the Khalifah; he accepted the appointment.

Upon this confirmation of `Ali’s ascension to the helm of the Muslim-World, immediately, Mu`awiyah ibn Abi-Sufyan (a Companion, brother-in-law [making him a legitimate-member of Ahl-il-Bayt] and 6th Khalifah of Islam, known historically as Mu`awiyah I) had petitioned that the murderers of `Uthman be brought to justice. However, `Ali had thought it wiser to suspend the pursuit of the assassins of `Uthman and bring political-stability back to the Islamic-Empire first. Unfortunately, that wasn’t good enough for Mu`awiyah & as a direct-result, when `Ali had commanded all the current governors of the provinces, of the Islamic-Empire, serving under `Uthman, to resign from their positions, he refused to step-down from his current position as the governor of Syria.

Now, of course, this was a major-problem-At this particular time, Syria was the wealthiest province, with the largest army within the Islamic-Empire; so, as we all know, unfortunate, bloody civil-war took place. The most historically famous military confrontation during this period was none other than the Battle of Siffin-The painful, shameful, irony is that even many of the Companions of Muhammad (May Allah be pleased with them all-together), who had all fought together, side-by-side, nearly 40-years prior, had taken sides between `Ali & Mu`awiyah, and were fighting, even killing one another. After the Battle of Siffin, a much-need peace-treaty, as well as territorial-partition, was established, between `Ali & Mu`awiyah: basically, as a result of this treaty & partition, all of the territories north & west of the Arabian-Peninsula went under the jurisdiction of Mu`awiyah & all of the territories south & east of the Levant went under the jurisdiction of `Ali.(For more info. concerning the true members of Ahl-il-Bayt: http://www.garethbryant.wordpress.com/2012/11/04/theperfectsolutiontothewholeahlulbaytissue)

`Ali is betrayed & slain, and Mu`awiyah stands alone-
There is immediate dissent, as a result of `Ali agreeing to the terms of this treaty with Mu`awiyah, and many of his supporters turn-tail on him & defect to the already-established sectarian-group, the Khawarij, who end up plotting, and unfortunately are successful in their assassination-attempt upon him. So, after the assassination of `Ali, naturally, the still-loyal-supporters of `Ali, looked to al-Hasan ibn-`Ali (the eldest maternal grandchild of Muhammad & older-brother of al-Husayn) for leadership & to lay claim to head the Khilafah (the Islamic ruling position & government over the Muslim-World). With the support of his followers, he in fact was nominated/selected and confirmed to be the 5th-Khalifah.

However, al-Hasan (very shortly after becoming the next Khalifah) made a very noble decision: he decided to completely end this political/military stalemate with Mu`awiyah, and in the same year as the death of his father (which was actually `Ali’s 6th & final year as the Khalifah), popularly known as “The Year of Unity”, al-Hasan had abdicated his power & claim as the Khalifah & there was a legitimate transfer of power from al-Hasan to Mu`awiyah, thereby making Mu`awiayh the 6th-Khalifah-Shortly after this abdication, al-Hasan ends up dead, in a very straight-forward, sad, manner. It has long be eluded, assumed, speculated, believed, etc., that Mu`awiyah had a direct-hand in the death of al-Hasan; yet, to date, there is no standing, surviving, legitimate, credible, evidence supporting this (controversial) claim. At any rate, as a result of all that went down, Mu`awiyah was the last-man-standing, in this first of many unfortunate political-upheavals within the 1400 year-old history of the Khilafah.

al-Husayn, Yazid, and Karbala’-
Now, to our main point of discussion: Mu`awiyah by this time is dead, after surviving one of the bloodiest in-house political-periods the Muslim-World had ever known, having been the Khalifah for the last 2-decades of his life; his son, upon his request, Yazid (known historically as Yazid I) becomes nominated/appointed as the Khalifah, which sets a trend, that had remained until the end of the `Uthmani-Period/Ottoman-Empire, of having one’s family member (typically father-to-son) be a succeeding Khalifah, thus replacing a former Khalifah. There were still a great deal of understandable animosity between Bani-Hashim (the sub-tribe of `Ali ibn Abi-Talib) & Bani-Umayyah (the sub-tribe of Mu`awiyah ibn Abi-Sufyan). However, the consolidation of the Umayyi-Period/Umayyad-Dynasty was set, and, honestly, there were no serious military-threat to the authority of the rule of Yazid.

However, al-Husayn, based upon his conviction, as well as tension between the himself & Yazid, fueled by the deaths of both his father & brother, caused him to rebel against Yazid, a decision which cost him his life. Yazid being the new Khalifah & all (the 7th Khalifah generally & the 2nd Umayyi-Khalifah), in my opinion handled the situation between himself & al-Husayn very prematurely, as well as foolishly. Likewise, I also view al-Husayn’s decision to pursue a military confrontation against Yazid, against the advice of many still-surviving Companions, including his own cousin, `Abdullah ibn-`Abbas, one of, if not the single most respected religious figure of his lifetime, after the death of Muhammad, equally as foolish & reckless.

He was out-manned, out-weaponed and out-supported. Even as he had made preparations to meet the forces of Yazid, headed by the then governor of `Iraq, `Ubaydullah ibn-Ziyad, it was very clear that from the start, it would’ve been a losing-battle, even before it had began. However, like his father & brother before him, he stuck to ideals that he had deep-conviction in, and was not fearful of the consequences thereof. He was initially welcomed by some factions in `Iraq to establish resistance beginning in Kufa & make this city his base. However, this plan was immediately scrapped, as a result of `Ubaydullah executing several messengers of al-Husayn, including one of the sons of `Aqil ibn Abi-Talib, one of the brothers of `Ali, Muslim ibn-`Aqil-Muslim was savagely executed at the hands of `Ubaydullah, after even Yazid had ordered that the rebellion stirring up in `Iraq be quelled without bloodshed, particularly, without the bloodshed of either al-Husayn or Muslim. By this point, al-Husayn had officially made up his mind that he would descend upon Kufa and lead his insurrection against Yazid from there.

Unfortunately, what he did not expect was for the people of Kufa to abandon him, when he needed them the most. In fact, one of the most (notoriously) infamous statements of the betrayal of al-Husayn, by the people of Kufa particularly, was the following, “Our hearts are with you; but, our swords are not with you.”. This was a most devastating blow to the morale of what was left of the ever-dwindling forces of al-Husayn, and there was no turning back: he couldn’t get any help, from anyone else in `Iraq, by virtue of them either being too cowardly to support al-Husayn & stand-up to Yazid, too far away to reach him in time, turned-tail on al-Husayn, or were just tired of fighting other Muslims generally & wanted this on-going conflict to come to an immediate end.

For whatever the reasons, for people bailing on al-Husayn last-minute, it happened; also, there was no way that he could’ve went back to Makkah or Madinah, to get support or refuge, because he was just too far away. Alas, his fate was sealed, and his life came to a tragic end. His final-stand, against Yazid, was at Karbala’, this was truly about one of the most unfairly matched military battles ever: the official accounts of the attendees of this battle vary greatly; but, it’s safe to assume that the forces of al-Husayn were outnumbered by at least 1,000-1; not only was al-Husayn slain at this battle, in a most inhuman way, but, also a whole slew of his own family-members, whom were with him, at Karbala’. along with his entire (what was left of that is) army. This was truly a sad event indeed.

Now, how can we learn & heal from this?
One particular suggestion is to not deny that the atrocities of this day actually happened: these events actually happened, to people beloved by Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah. At the same time, we must also keep this event in its proper context: this was purly politically-driven, power & control were the ultimate prize, let’s not be blinded by this fact, let’s not deny this. People wanted power, and others got it; people pursued what they deemed as justice, and ended up causing more harm than good; there were a lot of betrayals, sides-switching, loyalty-changing, and the like. However, as Muslims, we must not embody these political-events as though they are our burdens to bear: one, we weren’t there to prevent or promote any various political-agendas; if we were there we have absolutely no idea whose side we’d actually be on; it’s really easy to say, “Yea…yea…Ahl-ul-Bayt…all-day!!!”, outside of reality. But, in all reality, many of us may have very well been from among those who wanted `Uthman dead, `Ali dead, al-Hasan & al-Huasayn dead, we really don’t have a clue what conditions our hearts would’ve been in or what decisions that we would’ve made as a result of that.

So, in conclusion, before you attend any Muharram festival, any Muharram event, visit any gravesites of any members of Ahl-il-Bayt: one, make sure that your heart is right with Allah, by making sure that you’re not participating in any celebration, commemoration, festival, act of worship, which is completely against what Allah & His Messenger has allowed for us, as Muslims to partake in; two, make sure that you heart is right with Allah, in regards to your criticisms of either `Uthman, `Ali, Mu`awiyah, al-Hasan or al-Husayn or any other Companion of Muhammad involved in this conflict, leading up to the Massacre of Karbala’, because for whatever they may have did wrong, they are still among the Companions of Muhammad, the greatest generation of Humans to ever walk the face of this earth(al-Kaba’ir), those whom Allah is pleased with & they are pleased with him(Noble Qur’an: Chpt.98, V.8), and many of those who were a part of these conflicts were even promised paradise during their own lifetimes by Muhammad, personally(at-Tirmidhi, Abu-Dawud, ibn-Majah), as well as by virtue of the fact that they had given all that the had for Allah’s service by preserving Islam for us to inherit today, just so that we can have something to debate/argue about, concerning who was more right than who, or who was more wrong than who.(al-Bukhari)

The Perfect-Solution to the whole “Ahl-ul-Bayt” Issue:

Standard

Author’s-Note:
I hear Muslims (all the damn time) debate about this issue, so unnecessarily. So, what I’ve decided to do is the following: do some actual, honest, unbiased, historically true, research as to who the Ahl-ul-Bayt truly are. And, once you embark upon this type of research, you’ll learn so much about the actual Ahl-ul-Bayt, as well as significant aspects of Islam, generally, historically, and, as to why people have been at odds over this one singular issue, for so many centuries.

So, without any further adieu, here’s what I’ve got:
Ahl-ul-Bayt (literally meaning, “The People of the House”, referring to the Prophetic-Household of Muhammad [Peace be upon him]) isn’t just a group of four persons (Fatimah, `Ali, al-Hasan & al-Husayn [May Allah be pleased with them]), and their familial-descendants. Rather, Ahl-al-Bayt, based upon its strongest Islamic understanding, according to as-Salaf (as-Sahabah/the Companions of Muhammad [May Allah be pleased with them altogether] & generations 1 & 2 of at-Tabi`in/the followers of as-Sahabah [May Allah mercify them altogether]), are persons whom were Muslims, during the lifetime of Muhammad (Peace be upon him) & were either related to him through blood or through marriage.

Ahl-al-Bayt are specifically categorized as 3-Tier categories:

1st-Tier-
The actual blood-relatives, both paternal & maternal, of Muhammad, who became Muslims during his own lifetime-Among them are, but not limited to, the following: `Abbas/al-`Abbas ibn-`Abd-il-Muttalib, Hamzah ibn-`Abd-il-Muttalib, Harith/al-Harith ibn `Abd-il-Mutalib (all of them were Paternal-Uncles of Muhammad, the brothers of his father, `Abdullah ibn `Abd-il-Muttalib), `Abdullah ibn-`Abbas, Fadhl ibn-`Abbas, `Ali ibn Abi-Talib, Ja`far ibn Abi-Talib,`Aqil ibn Abi-Talib, `Ubaydah ibn-il-Harith (the first Companion of Muhammad to be killed in battle [the Battle of Badr]), Rabi`ah ibn-il-Harith, Abu-Sufyan ibn-il-Harith (both of whom were among 8-persons whom did not flee during the Battle of Hunayn), Arwah bint-il-Harith, Hind bint Abi-Umayyah & Zaynab bint-Jash (who were both cousins of Muhammad & two of his wives), Waraqah ibn-Nawfal (the Christian-Priest, who died as a Muslim & Companion, on account of him believing in the legitimacy of the Prophethood of Muhammad [a paternal-cousin of Khadijah bint-Khuwaylid, the 1st wife of Muhammad]), etc. This has actually been proven, through a Hadith/Narration of Muhammad in which he was specifically asked, “Who are Ahl-ul-Bayt?”. Muhammad had mentioned that, “Ahl-ul-Bayt are persons whom Zakah (not Saqaqah/Optional-Charity, but the annual Zakah/Obligatory-Charity) is Mahrum for (meaning that it is Islamically-Prohibited for them to be recipients of it). From among them are: `Abbas (ibn `Abd-il-Muttalib) & the descendants of `Abbas, `Ali (ibn Abi-Talib) & the descendants of `Ali, Ja`far (ibn Abi-Talib) & the descendants of Ja`far, and `Aqil (ibn Abi-Talib) & the descendants of `Aqil.”.(Muslim) In addition to this: it’s important to note that all of al-`Asharat-ul-Mubashshirin (the 10-Companions of Muhammad [Peace be upon him] who were promised Paradise in their lifetimes, by name) were all in  fact blood-related to Muhammad via their Common-Ancestor `Abd-Manaf.(ar-Rahiq-ul-Makhtum, Hayat-us-Sahabah)

2nd-Tier-
The Wives of Muhammad, the Mothers of the Believers and his In-Laws (Relatives via Marriage)-We know, for a fact, that these women are among Ahl-il-Bayt, just because, in Surat-il-Ahzab/the Chapter of the Partisans (Chpt.3, V.61 & Chpt.33, V.33), Allah mentions the Wives of Muhammad, as a group, and gives them the honorable title, “Ahl-ul-Bayt”. And, among his In-Laws are, but not limited to, the following: `Abdullah ibn Abi-Quhafah/Abu-Bakr as-Siddiq (father-in-law), `Umar ibn-ul-Khattab (father-in-law), `Uthman ibn-`Affan (son-in-law), `Ali ibn Abi-Talib (son-in-law), Abu-Sufyan ibn-Harb (father-in-law), Hind bint-`Utbah (mother-in-law), Yazid ibn Abi-Sufyan (the brother of Mu`awiyah whom also accepted Islam [brother-in-law]) Hudhayfah ibn-`Utbah (uncle-in-law), Mu`awiyah ibn Abi-Sufyan (brother-in-law), Yazid ibn-Mu`awiyah (nephew-in-law), etc.(ar-Rahiq-ul-Makhtum/The Sealed-Nectar)

3rd-Tier-
The Children & Grand-Children, Step-Children & Adopted-Children of Muhammad-Among the Children of Muhammad are the following: Fatimah, Ruqayyah, Zaynab, Umm-Kulthum, `Abdullah, al-Qasim, Ibrahim-Among his Grand-Children are, but not limited to, the following: al-Hasan ibn-`Ali, al-Husayn ibn-`Ali, Among his Step-Children are, but not limited to, the following: `Umar ibn Abi-Salamah (his mother, Hind bint Abi-Umayyah, had married Muhammad, after his father, `Abdallah ibn-`Abd-il-Asad, had been martyred during the Battle of Uhud), Sakran ibn-is-Sakran ibn`Amr (his mother, Sawda’ bint-Zam`ah had married Muhammad, after her husband, as-Sakran ibn`Amr ibn `Abd-ish-Shams had died when on route to al-Madinah, from the 1st-Hijrah, from al-Makkah, to Abyssinia), etc. The Adoptive-Children of Muhammad were only Zayd ibn-il-Harithah.(ar-Rahiq-ul-Makhtum)

Now, as we can all clearly see, there are at the very least, up to about 50 individuals, who can easily be classified as Ahl-al-Bayt, just from the names of persons whom I’ve already mentioned. Now, with that being said, for someone to say that they “only take knowledge from members of Ahl-il-Bayt”, or that they “prefer to only take from Ahl-il-Bayt”, or that they “trust Ahl-al-Bayt more”, then, they will seriously have to change their perspectives on a lot of individuals, because most of the individuals whom I’ve mentioned most-definitely have the most-rightful claims to being from among Ahl-il-Bayt, yet among certain sectarian-groups, they’re just not acknowledged as such.

And, also, when you observe/study the authentic narrations in which the names of any, some, most of these persons are mentioned in, you find that not only are those narrations are classified as Sahih/Authentic, by the vast majority of well-known/well-trusted Hadith-Scholars, from among the Salaf, but that these same narrations can be & are found within some of the most highly-regarded & respected collections of Prophetic-Statements. And, more importantly, these same persons, most of them, those who could read & write, were in fact persons, trusted & commissioned by Muhammad to document not only the Qur’an itself, but also Prophetic-Statements.

So, with that being said, it’s pretty clear that Ahl-al-Bayt is so much more extensive, than most people give it credit for.
