Deception is a 2-Way Street:

Standard

You say I’m unfaithful, but look at you…
…you’ve had another Man in our home.

How can I trust you to keep what we share sacred…
…if you’re with another behind closed-doors, alone?

You have accused me of lying, and not being transparent…
…but, your dishonesty has been even more than evident.

You stated that I’ve been communicating with someone behind your back, while you’ve done the same…
…how dare you then pontificate integrity to me, when you’ve committed the same crime of utter shame?

It’s hypocritical, utterly despicable, how you’ve tried to paint me as the Bad-Guy…
…you think that it’s okay to play this game, just because I was the first one to lie.

Now, I’m the first to commit my own wrong…
…yet, I’ll never allow myself to be slandered.

You have no justification to view me as anything less than a Man…
…you’ve done everything to have me see myself a callous Bastard.

Why did you lie, about the Man in the shadows of your Heart?
Why have you now allowed him to step-in and to tear us apart?

Exploring You:

Standard

gareth-bryant-eid-pics-23.jpg

You are uncharted, unclaimed, unscathed, untamed…
…I wish to plant my flag upon you, to enjoy the fame.

Your deep, green rainforest, wet with wonder…
…so many secrets to reflect upon & discover.

Your wide valleys I run through, play & frolicking…
…I’m spellbound by your beauty which is amazing.

At night, staring at your moonlight, as the wolf of your desire howls…
…because of my penetration into your sky, as though flying with owls.

I set you ablaze, as if your body were a forest-fire, but, you don’t want to put the fire out…
…your trees & leaves melt, as my burning touch causes you to pleasurably scream & shout.

I am able to make you flow, like a gushing river, dampening a desert, once barren with loneliness…
…but you are now fertile soil, with me as your farmer, who scatters your seeds of bliss in a tempest.

My long, sturdy, canoe, navigates into the caverns of your mountains & caves, never seen by anyone…
…as I squeeze the hips of your borders, you whisper to me my name, as I satisfy you until I’m done.

As I pull on your hair, as the wind pulls on trunks of trees…
…my fingers glide down your back, as if waves on the seas.

Exploring you is my ever longing adventurous chore…
…every time I search inside you, I find so much more.

I want to give You Comfort:

Standard

gareth-bryant-eid-pics-23.jpg

I wish I were there to brush your cheek & dry away the tears…
…to have your head laid against my chest, to calm all your fears.

It would be my joy, if I could expel from your life, all that makes you annoyed…
…this would make me happy, to relieve you from anything you’d want to avoid.

Your anxiety keeps me focused on how important you are to me…
…your sadness makes me even more interested in you as a priority.

My desire to to grant you bliss, from your lips to mine, with just one kiss…
…I want to protect you from insults, envious & poisonous as a snake’s hiss.

When those that hate you, cause you fret, remember that I love you, don’t forget…
…we will always have one another, as companions, friends, as sister & brother.

You’re like a bright jewel in the darkest night’s sky, way upon high…
…you cause me to yearn to grab you and hold you; I wish I could fly.

You are so strong, yet you’re so gentle…
…the way you approach life is so simple.

I’m yours & also you’re mine…
…let’s enjoy each other’s time.

We should run away together, from all the madness…
…be one another’s support, to cure our joint sadness.

I want to stamp out all your troubles, just as we stamp out a poisonous bug…
…the best moment to me is seeing you happy, when I give you a tender hug.

Author’s-Note:
Every month I’ll be conducting a Poetic-Challenge, challenging various poets, whom I personally know/interact with, just for the sake of sharpening/improving my own poetry, general-goodwill, respect for my fellow “Brethren of the Paper & Pen”, and to just see who from among us has the best “Poetry-Skillz”…Every month, I’ll be picking a brand-new Poetic-Challenger, via Facebook/Twitter, to compete with. This month, it’s Cyrus McGoldrick. Next month, it could very well be anyone of you. So, just be prepared, with some fresh-rhymes.

The Warmth We yearn from one another:

When the blistering Winter descends…
…We can no longer afford to pretend.

We get cold so quickly, it really hurts…
…We pursue warmth which takes work.

We all want the heat of Love, to warm our heart…
…Each of us wants a companion who’ll never part.

But, Life is sometimes a cruel Snow-Storm, covering all in its path, with the crispest & iciest harshness…
…However, we must make a Summer out of every Winter, protecting our hearts from a freezing-tempest.

We mustn’t succumb to the hypothermia of Loneliness…
…We all need someone to keep us from cold distress.

Being close, to the one who you love, is one of the greatest feelings of all…
…So, think about the one who keeps you warm during the heavy Snow-Fall.

ROARS OF THE RESTLESS:
Patterns of romances
low lights
private dances
signature strike timing
slow trances
Recital
thrown lances
light bites
the plight of the banished
without a standard
no understanding
a clan reprimanded
Plans
paths that never intersect
cattle gaining interest
calves that pay the rent
rattlesnakes in nets
Sweat
treasure in bared chests
reflections of red flares
messy confections
bred best
sleds sent
some bent and some went
Guns kept for your protection
legs stretched
rented apartments and tents
learned little and read best
roars of the restless
Wrapped in heavenly blessings
missing senses and tests
my second death
ascension that dents impressions
no bodies left

Let’s Love for the Right-Reason:

Standard

“Boy meets Girl”…they become each other’s world.
She buys him clothes, he buys her diamonds, pearls.

But, is this “True-Love”, or is it just a “good-time”?
Is it the “Long-Hall”, or a one-night “wine & dine”?

When we use this word…L.O.V.E….what, exactly, does it really mean?
Are we emotionally invested in someone, or is it just a realized-fantasy?

Just how earnestly connected are we, to those we’re attached to, and living with, side-by-side?
When the hair grays, the looks fade, will we stay or pursue someone new, leaving them behind?

Are we skin-deep, and, or, superficial?
The answer, to this question, is critical.

Because, if we do not have the right-answer, that means our priorities are all-wrong.
It means that we’ve been lying to ourselves and others, with an ingenuine love-song.

The sound, of that covertly-deceptive melody, has captured our hearts.
But, the after-tone leaves a very painful screech, on our, delicate, ears.

For the longest times, we’ve just assumed that we always, in relationships, used our wits, smarts.
However, as the sharp, tart, heartbreak sets in, we now see the actual fruition of our worst fears.

We all need comfort, therefore look for love, often, in all the wrong-places.
We all allow our emotions to be “wild and free”, instead of grow, in stages.

We always forget, in fact, to love the One who matters most.
He who has given us hearts, to begin with, the Lord of Hosts.

It is Allah, the Lord of All, whom requires us to love Him, first; but, we don’t.
He wants only that we remain grateful, to Him, for all He does; but, we won’t.

We’d rather have our fragile morsels of flesh, between our chests, be stepped upon & shattered.
Yet, if we only took the time to love Allah, more, first, we’d find ourselves emotionally protected.
