Imagine a Chessboard, without pieces…
…or, a Dissertation, without a Thesis.

What if the Homeo had no stasis…
…the World’s weather no phases?

Try to picture the Arctic-Circle, with no Ice-Caps…
…and, all of the Animals extinct, not coming back.

Let’s think of a Planet without compliance…
…filled with hypocrisy, apathy and violence.

Be warned, these are realities yet to come…
…because, we forfeited Humanity being one.

1-God, 1-Destiny, 1-Purpose, 1-Plan…
…securing the welfare of our fellow man.

Just picture a cold Heart, with no Chambers…
…or, living our entire lives with just strangers.

Try to see in ya mind, Hustlers, without a grind…
…or, the 1-Eyed King deceiving & ruling the blind.

Let’s pretend that Poverty is at an end…
…that People selflessly give and spend.

Wouldn’t it be beautiful that a Woman didn’t have to sell her body, in order to seek a Man’s love…
…or, that a Man honor a Woman in marriage, instead of wrapping her round his hand, like a glove?

What if all People looked beyond the skin-color of another…
…and, that we only saw others as our sisters & our brothers?

How great would it be, if we were all were free…
…all People safe from the ugly claws of tyranny?

If only every Man were granted his due from his labor, his daily-bread…
…and, that he not resort to robbing, or shooting someone, in the head.

What if Muhammad had never ventured into the Cave of Hira’…
…to receive Revelation which made living life so much clearer?

What if the Children of Israel never attempted to kill Jesus…
…what if he stayed long enough for his miracles to reach us?

What if David didn’t have the courage to defeat Goliath…
…or, the Army of Saul hadn’t have received the triumph?

What if Moses never went atop Mount-Sinai & saw the Burning-Bush…
…or, if the one who took him from water never bothered to take a look?

Imagine Abraham never leaving Ishmael in the Arabian-Desert…
…would they’ve built the Ka`bah or learn joy after suffering hurt?

Think if Noah was never saved from the Great-Flood, by building the Ark…
…would Humanity have survived, or, would we have still been in the dark?

Think about how it would be, had Adam & Eve had never eaten from that Tree…
…would we know whether we’d spend our entire existence in Paradise with glee?

It would be wonderful, to witness the change that so many fought & died for…
…I guess that’s just wishful-thinking, unless we’re willing to fight & die for more.

The “Child-Marriage” Issue: I’d rather call it Youth-Marriage:

Youth Marriages pic

Author’s Note:
Has anyone ever noticed that when it comes to the issue of “Child-Marriage”, only the Western-World uses the term “Child”? There’s a very important reason for this: they want people to get accustom to people always assuming that Men are marrying girls, under the age of Puberty, which is utterly perverse, in nature. This is exactly what happens, when one has the power over Language: when one controls Language, they can control how people interpret Law, Life, etc. However, in the Western-World, the issue of “Child-Marriage” has only recently become an issue, relative to the pathological rise & growth of Feminism, which has always (both historically & contemporarily) proves to be not only very biased/1-sided but also extremely hypocritical.(To learn more about Feminsim: https://garethbryant.wordpress.com/2011/10/19/bothmisogynyfeminismareevilandhereswhy)

1. Firstly, Islamically, the definition of a “Child” is one whom has not yet reached Balaghah/Puberty.(Abu-Dawud, Lisan-ul-`Arab: Lexicon of the Arabic-Language)

2. Secondly, when it comes to marriages, if there is a situation, where there is an arranged marriage-agreement between families, tribes (which is respectively very different than Forced-Marriages, “Kidnap-Marriages”, etc.), and the like, takes place before both the potential bridegroom & bride, or even if just the bridegroom or bride whom is under the age of Balaghah, then their is a period of time in which there is a respective waiting-period, which is supervised by the families, until the marrying parties are both old enough to either say yes or no and/or consummate their respective marriage.(Malik)

3. The most-famous example is that of Muhammad (Peace be upon him), in which after Allah had ordained that he marry `A’ishah (May Allah be pleased with her), the daughter of Abi-Bakr (May Allah be pleased with him): she remained with her own respective family, until it was confirmed that she had reached Balaghah. And, the reason why this is so important is because, Islamically, it is Mahrum to have any sexual-contact with any Human being, whom has not reached Balaghah.(al-Bukhari)

4. This is very crucial to know, as Muslims, because this is one of the most-slanderous insults which ignorant Muslims, and Islamophobes, generally attribute to Muhammad : Child-Molestation via marrying `Ai’shah at age 9, even though, ironically, not even his own religious-enemies, during his own lifetime, the Pagan-Arabs, ever accused him of something so disgusting as Child-Molestation, and they had accused him of some pretty ugly things.

5. It’s really ironic that most people who advocate that young-people don’t marry young argue about the health-risks of getting married young…well:

a. What about the health-risks of casual-sex, enjoyed by so many, whom are unmarried all across the Globe?

b. What about the health-risks of Homosexual-Sex (particularly/especially Male-on-Male/Anal-Sex)?

6. Although it is true that early-marriage does disrupt education, but, there are a lot more things which disrupt education as well, like:

a. Economic-Exploitation, which the Western-World enjoys, because, we just love fancy clothes & techno-savvy phones, made by workers whom would probably never get the chance to own anything which they make, for Western-World/Global markets, even if they saved every penny of their earnings for an entire year.

b. Wars in these same places where Youth-Marriages take place, as a result of the insatiable pathological craving for influence, power, control over the planet’s resources, all in the covert name/facade of Freedom/Democracy.

c. Educational-Exploitation, as a direct result of ruined infrastructure of these same nations, which the Western-World has invaded and turned upside-down via military, economic, political, and social destruction.

So, in conclusion, this issue is an open-shut-case: the issue of Youth-Marriage is just not what the Western-World vilifies it to be.

The Death that We will never recover from:

Ring of Muhammad pic

The demise of the greatest of the great, I despise…
…Muhammad has left us, such a loss to our lives.

It was he whom Allah had used to bring light into a World full of complete-darkness…
…The Qur’an being his blueprint, as guidance for Humanity; he loved every one of us.

He made prayers to Allah, his Lord day & night for those whom would never meet him…
…Are we grateful, do we even think of him in return; do we even cry in memorandum?

Do we even truly miss a Man, whom carried only for those whom he was sent to…
…To convey a message, the same as any Prophet, nothing he said was less than true.

When he was stoned by little children, at the behest of their ignorant parents…
…He never wanted them to be destroyed, along with all the ungrateful masses.

He was hopeful that they would learn from the many errors of their elders…
…Those whom he beg Allah to be spared became our premier role-models.

Those who once made it their life’s mission to kill him, joined him…
…They were there when he needed allies & when he needed to win.

They were with him when he laughed and also when he cried…
…They defended him, when everyone spoke against him a lie.

He was their friend, adviser, the one whom was able to calm their fears and assure them of the good…
…He was there for everyone to benefit from; he was firm upon spreading Islam, strong as Oak’s wood.

Alas, the providence of Allah decreed that he had to go, it was the worst time ever…
…We will never have another, to teach us the best ways to acquire Allah’s pleasure.

The Necessity to adhere to both the Qur’an & the Sunnah/Prophetic-Tradition jointly and indivisibly:

It truly saddens me, so greatly, that there are Muslims whom dare say that it is not necessary to adhere to the Sunnah/Prophetic-Tradition of Muhammad (Peace be upon him) via Hadith/Ahadith (Prophetic-Statements, actions, allowances, prohibitions, etc. which have been recorded, codified, etc.), using the same “following the Qur’an is just enough” argument. Well, I’d really love to know what you’re actually able to implement, or achieve, Islamically, without the usage of the Sunnah/Hadith, because, the last time that I’ve check, there’s the necessity to adhere to the Sunnah/Hadith, in every single affair of ours, as Muslims, and I can definitely prove it.

Let’s get this convo rockin’ wit some “Fun-Facts”:

1. The word Hadith (pl. Ahadith), according to the Arabic-Language, means the following:

a. Statement

b. Story

c. Relation

d. Narration

e. Declaration

f. Proclamation

g. Report

h. Message

i. Record/Recording

j. Document/Documentation

(Lisan-ul-`Arab/The Language of the Arab: Lexicon of the Arabic-Language)

2. The Qur’an, itself, the entire canon of revelation, known as “The Book of Allah” is a Hadith…Allah states, within Surat-il-Kahf/the Chapter of the Cave, “Will you, yourself, grieve over their statements/lies, just because they do not believe in this Hadith?”(Chpt.18, V.6), also within Surat-id-Duha/the Chapter of the Morning, “And, proclaim the Favor of your Lord.”(Chpt.93, V.11)…In both of these verses, respectively, the word “Hadith” is directly used, as well as the verbal conjugative derivative of the verb which the word “Hadith” comes from is also used…the verb that the word “Hadith” comes from is “Haddatha”*, which means “To tell”.(Ibid.)

3. Both The Qur’an & Sunnah were recorded/preserved during the lifetime of Muhammad (Peace be upon him).(al-Bukhari, al-Hakim, Fadha’il-ul-Qur’an, ibn-Hisham, al-Mustadrak) The Companions/Followers of Muhammad (Peace be upon him [May Allah be pleased with them all-together]) whom were able to both read & write, were commissioned, personally, by Muhammad, to document both the Verses of the Primary-Revelation/The Qur’an, as well as the Secondary-Revelation/the Sunnah, not to be included in the Mushaf/Textual-Document of The Qur’an itself…these persons are known as the following individuals:

a. al-Khulafa’-ur-Rashidun (the 1st Khulafa’/Islamic-Rulers [of the Muslims] after the death of Muhammad [Peace be upon him]):

`Abdullah ibn-`Uthman ibn-`Amir (Abu-Bakr as-Siddiq), `Umar ibn-ul-Khattab, `Uthman ibn-`Affan, `Ali ibn Abi-Talib.

b. al-`Asharat-ul-Mubashshirun (the 10-Companions promised Paradise (by name) during the lifetime of Muhammad [Peace be upon him]):

Abu-Bakr as-Siddiq, `Umar ibn-ul-Khattab, `Uthman ibn-`Affan, `Ali ibn Abi-Talib, `Abd-ur-Rahman ibn-`Awf, Talhah ibn-`Ubaydillah, Sa`d ibn Abi-Waqqas, Sa`id ibn-Zayd, az-Zubayr ibn-al-`Awwam, Abu-`Ubaydah ibn-il-Jarrah.

c. Nisa’-un-Nabi/the Wives of the Prophet:

Khadijah bint-Khuwaylid, Hafsah bint-`Umar (ibn-il-Khattab), `Ai’shah bint Abi-Bakr, etc.

d. Ahl-ul-Bayt/Members of the Prophetic-Household:

`Abdullah ibn-ul-`Abbas (ibn-`Abbas),  Khadijah bint-Khuwaylid, Hafsah bint-`Umar (ibn-il-Khattab), `Ai’shah bint Abi-Bakr, Abu-Bakr as-Siddiq, `Umar ibn-ul-Khattab, `Uthman ibn-`Affan, `Ali ibn Abi-Talib, Sa`d ibn Abi-Waqqas, etc.

e. Other various Companions:

Zayd ibn-Thabit (the Official-Scribe of Muhammad), Ubay ibn-Ka`b, `Abdullah ibn-Mas`ud, etc.

f. There’s even an official-account, by Harith ibn-Rabi` (Abi-Qatadah) whom personally asked Anas ibn-Malik whom were the documenters of The Qur’an, during the lifetime of Muhammad & Anas replied, “There were 4 & they were all from among al-Ansar/the Assistants (the 2nd-wave of early followers of Muhammad who helped al-Muhajirin/the Migrants spread Islam throughout the rest of the Arabian-Peninsula, outside of al-Hijaz [the traditional homeland of the Tribe of Muhammad: al-Quraysh, consisting of modern-day Jiddah, Ta’if, al-Makkah, al-Madinah, basically, the entire western-coast of the Arabian-Peninsula]): Ubay ibn-Ka`b, Mu`adh ibn-Jabal, Zayd ibn-Thabit and Abu-Zayd.(al-Bukhari)  al-Muhajirun were the 1st-wave of early followers of Muhammad, whom were forced to flee from left al-Makkah, because of strict persecution, by the Pagan-Arabs during the lifetime of Muhammad. al-Ansar gave al-Muhajirin asylum, in their city, (originally) known as Yathrib (later renamed al-Madinah [lit. “The-City”]).(ar-Rahiq-ul-Makhtum/the Sealed-Nectar: Biography of Muhammad)

Now, since we’ve clarified, quite thoroughly, I may add, concerning the legitimacy of the Sunnah/Hadith, then, one has to ask one’s self:

1. How can I be a Muslim, a Muslim whom places his/her trust in The Qur’an, while The Qur’an recorded/preserved, in written/documented, form, yet I reject the Sunnah, and ironically, both The Qur’an & the Sunnah were recorded/preserved literarily, literally, by the same exact persons?!!!

2. If I trust those whom Muhammad (Peace be upon him) had trusted, to document/preserve The Qur’an, then, why would/should/do I have any such issue with trusting these same exact individuals, when it comes to the documentation/preservation of the Sunnah?!!!

Yeah…I know…really good questions to ask one’s self, right…#ThinkAboutIt

I, personally, would really love to have some actual dialogue with these kinds of people, whom claim to be Muslims, and yet completely doubt/reject the entire validity of the Sunnah.

The True-Story of an Apostate from Islam to Christianity: How do we as Muslims deal with this issue?

Umar Lee pic

Allah states, in His Noble-Book, “Whomever wills, let him believe; and whomever wills, let him disbelieve.”.(Noble Qur’an: Chpt.18, V.29)

I’ve just found out that Umar Lee, the controversial author of “The Rise And Fall Of The Salafi Movement”, which exposed the fallacies & hypocritical elements of the Saudi/Oil-Rich Arab-States sponsored Salafi-Movement sect, has once committed Riddah/Apostacy…he has left Islam, the Path of Allah, the Path of Allah, the Path of Guidance…He had, during that time, unfortunately, allowed ash-Shaytan/the Devil to corrupt his heart & mind, and also the negative statements & actions of fellow Muslims, via horrible character, to turn his heart away from at-Tawhid/the Oneness of Allah, to ash-Shirk/Association. He has now, via a YouTube video, converted to Christianity, claiming that worshipping a man, a Prophet, a Messenger, al-Masih/the Christ, Jesus, the Son of Mary (Peace be upon him), whom never, ever called people to worship him, is the “Son of God” & the key to Salvation…He was so wrong about that, for so many reasons, and I’ll only pick one of those reasons: According to the Bible/Chritstian-Theology, Jesus was nailed to a cross, bleeding, dying, and utterly helpless. Now, if you’re looking for true-salvation, are you really gonna turn to someone whom is falsely-depicted as not even able to save himself from torture & death?!!! If I’m placing my soul on the line, looking for guidance, I think it’s probably not a good idea to wager on someone whom couldn’t even prevent others from harming him, especially if that person were to claim any type of divinity. But, fortunately, Jesus never called people to worship him, nor did he ever die on a cross, claiming to be able to deliver others from Hell, when he couldn’t even deliver himself from death.

I was truly saddened, by his poor choice, to leave Tawhid & accept Shirk. It is obvious that he had allowed the negative actions of Muslims, to cloud his better-judgement, and leave Truth, in exchange for Falsehood. And, let this be a serious-lesson for Muslims: we all must learn from this…Even though there is no valid-reason to leave Islam, we, as Muslims, can never, must never, allow ourselves to be the reasons which people use to leave Islam.

Muhammad (Peace be upon him) has said, “The Muslim is one who protects other Muslims (other people generally as well), from his statements & actions.”.(an-Nawawi) Now, the fact that this Apostate can pull-out so many examples of the open flaws of Muslims actually speak a lot of sad amounts of volumes. This actually reminds me of when I had first reverted to Islam: I had known a member of my former Church-Community, for years, whom was constantly attempting to pull me back into Christendom, and although, ignorant as I was, when I first became a Muslim, Allah, the Creator/Lord of the Universe, had still chosen to protect my mind & heart, from the evil of his lies & deception-It was very obvious that this person was inspired by ash-Shaytan, in a devious attempt to pull me away from Tawhid, and her’s the proof: I remember one day, this guy & myself were talkin’, he was it as usual, with his lame antics about how Jesus Christ (Peace be upon him) was both god & man, and all that jazz, even though, in the beginning of the Book of Matthew, where it states the lineage of Jesus, “God” isn’t mentioned, anywhere, in the bloodline of Jesus. Also, there are several individuals mentioned in the Bible itself,as being the “Son of God”, whom are not even Jesus…Let’s name some of them: There’s Adam, the Father of the Human-Race (Peace be upon him), mentioned as being the “Son of God” in the Book of Luke; then, there’s Jacob/Israel (Peace be upon him), whom is not only mentioned as the”Son of God, but also mentioned as “My first born”, in the Book of Exodus; finally there’s David & Solomon (Peace be upon both of them), mentioned separately as the “Son of God”, in the Book of Chronicles I. So…why…oh why…is this the case, if Jesus is both god & man, and/or the “only begotten son of God”?!!! #ThingsThatMakeYaGoHmmm

Then, there’s the kicker: this dude had told me that he was once, himself, a Muslim, and that he had left Islam, to convert to Christianity, for all of the same exact reasons which Umar Lee had decided to. But, he added something different, which I’ve never heard, before or since: This dude said that he had made Hajj/Pilgrimage to al-Makkah, and as he was circulating al-Ka`bah, he saw Jesus…This Nigga said he saw Jesus!!! Oh, and not just saw him, he said that Jesus told him that he was the way & that he was the “Son of God” & all that…This sounds a lil’ Pauline, doesn’t it, I mean, isn’t this the exact the thing that Paul said, while enroute to Damascus, after his many, infamous, notorious, killing-sprees, of the followers of the true teachings of Jesus, which was in fact Tawhid, by virtue fo the fact that Jesus is a Muslim, via his Prophethood, Messengership, and Christhood to boot?!!!

Also, in addition to this, he had also tried to convince me that the name Allah was actually the linguistic male version of the Pagan-Arab Moon-Goddess al-Lat, even though there’s absolutely no linguistic similarities between these two respective words, at all.(Lisan-ul-`Arab/the Language of the Arab [the Lexicon of the Arabic-Language]) Then, there’s also the errononeous claims that Muslims worship al-Ka`bah/The Cube, the cubed-structure, which signifies the first Mosque ever built upon Earth, as well as the fallacy that Muslims worship al-Hajr-al-Aswad/The Black-Stone, one of the jewels of al-Jannah/The Paradise, which fell to Earth, along with our Parents, Adam & Hawwa’/Eve (Peace be upon both of them), after their fall fro grace, as a result of listening to te deception of ash-Shaytan.(Qasas-ul-Anbiya’/ Stories of the Prophets, ibn-Kathir)

Upon this convo with this man, when I was a new Muslim, still (I was roughly about 17 at the time), regardless of the ignorance upon me, fresh from Christianity, Allah had protected me from his lies, ad made my mind & heart firm upon the truth of Islam. So, in conclusion, let us, as Muslims, learn from this sad tale, of a man, who was guided, by his Creator/Lord, but yet was deceived by his own poor opinion of Muslims, with the help of ash-Shaytan, coupled with the negative actions of other Muslims, to use as excuse to leave Truth, in exchange for Falsehood.

So, what do we all, as Muslims, learn from this?

1. This what we are to learn: never expose your negative, to anyone; we must be at our best, at all-times & in all-places, for 2-reasons: one, to exclusively please Allah; two, to be good-examples for others, that they may follow our examples, in positivity, for Allah.(Noble Qur’an: Chpt.112, V.3) This story of Umar Lee, as well as the person whom I had mentioned, along with countless others, both famous & non-famous are a true, as well as sad testament to our failure to be the best Human beings which Allah has created. No one should ever use us as excuse to leave Islam: let them make-up any excuse that they want, but let not any of their excuses be our failure to be good Muslims, which Allah requires us to be.

2. Although, on the Day of Standing/Judgement-Day, people like Umar Lee will have no excuses, with Allah, for leaving Islam, out of Allah’s eternal-justice, He will respect these cases, made against Muslims whom they knew and/or came in-contact with, whom were not good-examples for them, ridiculed them, told them they weren’t good-enough Muslims, etc. In spite of the fact that his fate lies with his Lord, if he doesn’t turn back to the truth of Islam, he will still have a valid Hujjah/Indictment against other Muslims whom treated him negatively. And, to be honest, that is one of my worst fears, to be among those whom have a Hujjah against me, as a result of a person using me as an excuse as to why they either didn’t become a Muslim, or didn’t remain a Muslim.

3. I had recently learned that Umar Lee had returned back to Islam. So, with that being said, even if/when someone leaves Islam, for whatever reason, have some hope that Allah, out of His Eternal-Meryc, will allow them to find their way back to Guidance.

My final-word, to my Muslim brethren, is to just, simply, endure what Allah says, concerning to calling people to that which is positive & to what Muhammad had mentioned, concerning protecting people from our negative.

2012 in review:

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

4,329 films were submitted to the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. This blog had 29,000 views in 2012. If each view were a film, this blog would power 7 Film Festivals

The Power of Generosity!!!

Jonathan Parks pic

Author’s note:

This article has been written by my good-brother, my good-friend, Jonathan Markis, who has invested a lot of his own time & resources, for a cause & movement that I take very seriously, as I, myself, have invested a lot personally to this same exact cause. I am very happy that he has thus chosen to write an article, for my blog, to demonstrate through the power of words, how important what he’s advocating truly is.

I’d like to share with you a little bit I’ve learned about the importance of helping others. Sometimes it takes a tragedy to bring us to a point in our lives to do things that others may benefit from InshAllah. In this case, I am referring to the importance of donating blood. Did you know that by one person donating, that person can save three lives?

I want to share now 9 reasons why you should donate, if you don’t already:

1. Blood transfusions saves life.

2.There’s no substitute for human blood.

3. Every three seconds, someone needs a blood transfusion.

4. About 60% of the population are eligible to donate blood, yet less than 5% do.

5. You’ll make your community a safer place.

6. Fulfills your desire to “Give back” to the community.

7. You’ll receive a mini physical (blood pressure, temperature, iron level).

8. You’ll learn your blood type.

9. Its safe, simple, and it saves lives.

I hope that these 9 reasons are motivating enough for each and everyone of you to donate, or at least, at the minimum, encourage others to donate. I would like to give some Islamic evidence on the importance of donating blood but the point of giving and receiving InshAllah. The Quran says that to save all humanity (Quran 5:32) And Allah says “Oh no soul does Allah place a burden greater than it can bear (Al-Baqarah, 286), the principal of fiqh states “Necessity makes prohibition lawful” (See Nujaym, Al-Ashbah wa Al-Naza’ir, P. 85)

The messenger of Allah (pbuh) advised the people of Urayna to consume the urine and milk of the camels due to them being affected by the climate of Madina (see Sahih Al-Bakhari, No.23)
I would like to share my story now for the reason I got involved in organizing blood drives I like to call Miracle Comeback. On August 3rd 2009, my two sons Elijah (16 years at the time) and Rasheed (13 years old at the time) were riding their bicycles late at night. This night would change many lives forever. My son Elijah at the intersection of South 16th street and Greenfield avenue decided to take his chances and ride his bicycle thru a changing red light and made it safe to the other side, Rasheed wasn’t so lucky. Rasheed stayed back with his friend Justin, but decided to ride thru the standing red light and didn’t make it to the other side. Rasheed was hit and run over by another Suv. The police report stated my son was in “fatal” accident. I immediately got on the hospital computer and asked my family and Facebook friends to make Dua for my son. Here is my exact email that I sent ..
“Salam, at around 11p.m. on 8-3-09 my son Rasheed who be 13 years old in 2 weeks InshAllah was hit by a truck while on his bicycle and is in serious condition with internal bleeding in his stomach, Sorry just got back from speaking with the surgeons and he is in very serious conditions. One of his kidneys were removed and half his liver from the impact. I am asking all to pray for my son that he survives and  if he does not that he goes to Jennah/Heaven, InshAllah God willing, thanks much”.

Once I got to see my son I was told that he had a very small chance to survive and I was also told, that if he does survive, he wont be the same. My son in total, lost; 1 kidney, ½ his liver, broke his liver, crushed 1 lung and lost 46 pints of blood in surgery. Saying this , my sons Dua’s were answered and my son went home on August 25th,2009 and started school only one week late on September 9th,2009. Today my son is living a totally normal life without any side effects Alhumdulilah. My sons Miracle of life inspired me to have a website created called www.miraclecomeback.com.

On my website you can see the many past updates to the new ones. I’ve organized 8 blood drives so far and will be working on my 9th one soon called ‘Miracle Comeback 9’ and this one will include my son Rasheed. It will be called ‘Giving Back’ as he for the first time will donate InshAllah. Anyone interested in organizing any Blood drives in your city and state? Please contact me at bilalmarkis@yahoo.com if interested. I would post this on my site. Don’t wait till something happens to you or someone you know before you decide its important. JazakAllah, your brother Jonathan Markis.

The Islamic sense of Health & Wellness:

Shata pic

Author’s note:

This is a very important article, written by Isteshhad Shata, concerning the importance of Islamic wellness, on both the spiritual, mental, emotional and physical levels. It is my hope that you all benefit from the significant advice given.

Allah tells us, clearly, within His noble book:

“You are the best nation produced [as an example] for mankind. You enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and believe in Allah.”(Quran 3:110)

As I ride the car to school, do the groceries, return books to the library, etc, I witness a reality which my eyes obstinately refuse to believe. I witness the supreme determination of our society’s elderly…The old man runs and runs, only stopping after reaching his desired goal. I think to myself, “MashaAllah!! This man truly understands the potent benefits of exercising. To him, age shall never be an impediment, and doing what’s right continues to be his ardent motivation.”. I close my eyes to contemplate the status of our Ummah; now, regarding this manner, I can only express my cumbersome grief, viewing our Muslims with pot bellies, excess body fat, and lack of energy is quite disturbing. I think about the foods our Ummah eats, and a gloomy frown assumes the place of my initial, pleasant, smile I had, after seeing the old man running.

Thinking back to that Ayah, I ask myself, “Can we (as Muslims) truly be the ‘best-nation’, that Allah speaks of?”. Unfortunately, the answer, stubbornly, manifests itself as a big fat “NO”. If we lack the basic health and physical fitness required to achieve maximum success (even mentally and emotionally), then, when will we ever consider ourselves to be of those who are “the best”? True believers need healthy souls, minds, and bodies, in order to worship their Lord in the correct way. To maintain a pure-heart, a sound-mind, and a healthy-body, special attention must be paid to wellness. The heart and the mind are nourished by the remembrance of Allah, and the body is nourished by partaking of the Halal & healthy food Allah has provided on Earth, for us. We must start revamping our diets NOW…and also make space for some form of physical-activities to show gratitude to Allah, for this ideal Human-Body that He alone has given each of us, the body which each of us are responsible to Him for protecting & cultivating, and will be held accountable for. Allah mentions, “And they will say to their flesh: ‘Why have you testified against us?’ They (their own flesh) will say: ‘We were made to speak by Allah, Who has made everything speak; He created you the first time, and to Him you are returned.” (Quran 41:21)

The teachings of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) urged us to cherish good health and realize its rightful place as one of Allah’s countless bounties:

“And your Lord proclaimed, ‘If you give thanks, I will give you more; but if you are thankless, lo! My punishment is dire.'” (Quran 14:7)

Surely, by neglecting our health we show no gratitude to Allah, Most-High.
Choosing wholesome food and avoiding the insalubrious is essential to good health. Allah says:

“Eat of the good things which We have provided for you.” (Quran 2:173) “Eat of what is lawful and wholesome on the earth.” (Quran 2:168)

The Quran, itself, contains many verses of advice regarding healthy eating that relate to the interconnectedness of physical and spiritual health. Encouragement to eat only good and pure food is often combined with warnings to remember Allah and avoid Satan. Healthy eating not only satisfies hunger but also effects how well we worship.

“O mankind, eat from whatever is on earth [that is lawful and good] and do not follow the footsteps of Satan. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy.” (Quran 2:168)

If one becomes obsessed with food or indulges in too much unwholesome or junk food he is bound to become physically weak and distracted from his primary purpose of serving Allah. Similarly, if one concentrates exclusively on spiritual endeavors and neglects his health and nutrition, weakness, injury, or illness would also result in failure to carry out obligatory worship. The guidance found in the Quran and the traditions of Prophet Muhammad advise humankind to maintain a balance between these two extremes.

A healthy-diet is balanced with a mixture of all the foods Allah has provided for His creation. The variety satisfies all the body’s needs for carbohydrates, minerals, vitamins, proteins, fats and amino-acids. Numerous verses of Quran mention the foods Allah has provided for us to nourish and maintain our bodies. It is not an exhaustive list of dietary requirements but rather a general idea of the types of food that maintain a healthy body and prevent illnesses.

“He created cattle that give you warmth, benefits and food to eat.” (Quran l6:5)

“It is He who subdued the seas, from which you eat fresh fish.” (Quran 16:l4)

“It is He who sends down water from the sky with which He brings up corn, olives, dates and grapes and other fruit.” (Quran 16:11)

“In cattle too you have a worthy lesson. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, between the undigested food and blood: pure milk, a pleasant beverage for those who drink it.” (Quran l6:66)

“There emerges from their bellies a drink, varying in colors, in which there is healing for people. Indeed in that is a sign for a people who give thought. .” (Quran 16:69)
“…and from it (the earth) we produced grain for their sustenance.” (Quran 36:33)

While sweets and junk food are not forbidden they must be eaten sparingly as part of a balanced diet, designed to maintain optimum health. Many of the most common chronic illnesses today derive from unhealthy eating habits. Coronary Heart-Disease, Hypertension, Diabetes, Obesity and Depression have all been linked to inadequate-diets. The traditions of Prophet Muhammad praise moderation as a way of maintaining good health and the Qur’an stresses the need to strike a balance between any extremes. Taking a closer look at exercising, it is appropriate to mention a hadith by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH): “A strong believer was better than a weak believer.” He was talking in terms of faith and character but also indicating that physical strength i.e. optimum health and fitness were desirable, provided that God gave us the means of attaining such strength.

A narration recorded by Imam al-Bukhari states: “The Prophet passed by some people from the tribe of Aslam while they were competing in archery (in the market). He said to them, ‘Commit yourselves to Archery, Children of Ishmael! Your father was a skilled Archer. Shoot and I am with so and so.’ One of the two teams therein stopped shooting. The Prophet asked, ‘Why did you stop shooting?’ They answered, ‘How could we shoot while you are with them (the other team)? He then said, ‘Shoot and I am with you all.”. In another narration, Prophet Muhammad’s beloved wife Aisha mentioned their love of games and sports. She said, “I raced with the Prophet and I beat him. Later when I put on some weight, we raced again and he won. Then he said, ‘this cancels that(referring to the previous race).’” Moreover, a highly-respected Islamic-Scholar, ibn-ul-Qayyim al-Jawziyyah, stated that movement helped the body get rid of waste food more efficiently and strengthened the body’s immune system. He also stated that each bodily organ has its own sport (or movement) that suited it and that horse riding, archery, wrestling and racing, were sports that benefitted the whole body.

If we even only observe/reflect upon our daily performance of the obligatory 5-Prayers, we would find that prayer itself is a form of exercise; its prescribed movements involve all the muscles and joints of the body, and our concentration in prayer relieves mental stress. This is Complete and Divine Perfection of our religion…Allahu-Akbar!!

I end, by accentuating the sanguinity and sincere hope that are bustling inside me. I can already feel the warmth of the light at the end of the tunnel, a truly ineffable feeling. I ask Allah to benefit whoever reads this, and to help you and me to implement this decisive way of life to the best of our abilities…Amen

Christmas is just like al-Mawlid: A Bid`ah!!!

The following article is based primarily, but, not exclusively, upon two previous articles that I’ve already written, one about Non-Islamic holidays, generally (http://www.garethbryant.wordpress.com/2011/10/14/thereasonsmuslimsdonotcelebratenonislamicholidays), and the other specifically about the celebration of the Psuedo-Islamic holiday, known as al-Mawlid (http://www.garethbryant.wordpress.com/2012/02/05/mythoughtsonthemawlid).

It’s so very ironic, how Muslims condemn Christians for celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ (Peace be upon him), when many Muslims, themselves, celebrate the birth of a Prophet as well: Muhammad ibn-`Abdillah, the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him). So, in light of this, I intend to highlight some of the very ironic similarities, between both Christmas & al-Mawlid, respectively.

Brief history of Christmas-

Christmas pic

Christmas, literally meaning, “Christ’s Mass”(Dictionary.com), has been designated to be on December 25th. It is on this day that basically all Christians believe that Jesus was born, even tough there is absolutely no religious nor historical records proving  that Jesus was born on the 25th of December, or even during the Winter, for that matter. Anyway, this particular holiday emerged as the power of Christiandom began to spread & grow within Europe, Africa & the Middle-East. This holiday, “Christmas” was originally a Pagan-Roman holiday, called the Saturnalia, literally, meaning the festival of Saturn.(Encyclopedia Britannica) The Catholic-Church, at the time, was trying to strengthen it’s congregant-base, and realized that the masses of the people, especially in Europe were deeply invested into celebrating the ancient holiday, Saturnalia. So, what began to happen was, in order to keep these newly-converted Christians from turning away from Christiandom, they allowed the common-people to keep their former pagan-holidays, even though, ironically, these holidays represented everything contrary to classic Christian-Doctrine. And, this is how the Saturnalia evolved from celebrating Saturn, to celebrating Jesus, during the 4th-century, which is the closest known time-period when Christmas was officially celebrated.

Brief history of al-Mawlid-

Mawlid pic

The Mawlid, literally, meaning “birthday”, in the Arabic-Language(Lisan-ul-`Arab/The Arabic-Language: Lexicon of the Arabic-Language, Muhammad ibn-Manzhur), was something that Muslims began to celebrate about 3-centuries after the death of Muhammad, commemorating the month & day of his birth, even though: one, he, himself, personally, neither told, nor encouraged, anyone to celebrate his birthday, during his own lifetime; two, none of his Companions (May Allah be please with them all-together) ever celebrated al-Mawlid, neither during nor after the lifetime of Muhammad; three, none of the members of either generation of the Tabi`in (the followers of the Companions of Muhammad [May Allah mercify them all-together]) ever celebrated al-Mawlid; also, ironically, there’s even scholarly debate as to when the actual date of the birth of Muhammad was. Since the Pagan-Arabs were mostly an illiterate people & relied mostly on memory, it’s not definitive to say exactly when the birth of Muhammad truly was, without any credible, historical, tangible record. Moving right along: the formation & origin of the Mawlid, based upon surviving record, begins during the reign of the Khilafah (Islamic-Rulership) of Harun ar-Rashid, the 5th & most well-known of all the Khulafa’ (Islamic-Rulers), from the `Abbasi-period.(Encyclopedia Britannica)

Now…let’s see what’s ironically-similar between these two holidays-

1. They are both celebrations, which are not sanctioned by any revelation from Allah, via textual-scriptures, nor examples of any Prophets/Recipients-of-Revelation.

2. These holidays were never celebrated in the presence of either Jesus or Muhammad; so, there’s no basis of justification to celebrate the births of any of these two Prophets, when even they, themselves, had never celebrated their own birthdays, during their own respective times.

3. Both of these holidays emerged at least 3-centuries after the times of these two respective Prophets (after the ascension of Jesus [Islamically, Muslims don’t believe that Jesus even died in the 1st-place, which is one of the reasons why he has to return] & death of Muhammad).

4. Both of these holidays involve commencement of specific acts of worship, almost exclusively during the celebratory times of the year for these holidays.

5. Both of these holidays have resulted in full-fledged personality-worship of these respective Prophets, like calling upon them for salvation, when salvation is only from Allah, directly, and when worship, in it’s intrinsic/inherent totality, is solely for Allah, and not for anything or anyone created.

Let’s examine the word that I used to describe both Christmas & al-Mawlid: Bid`ah-

There is a purposeful reason why I’ve chosen this word, “Bid`ah”, to describe both Christmas, as well as al-Mawlid, respectively. This term Bid`ah, literally, meaning “Innovation”, is from the Arabic-verb, “Bada`a”, to change/evolve-Both of these holidays, just like any other holidays which had evolved out of the celebrations of dead-persons, or presumed to be dead-persons (as in the case of Jesus, whom, according to Islamic-texts, has not died as of yet[Noble Qur’an: Chpt.4, V.157], making it one of the reasons why he must return to Earth: to live out the remainder of his life and to die), are not based upon any credible revealed-texts, from Allah. And, the actual religious, Islamic, definition of the term Bid`ah is the following: any action of worship, adopted by Muslims, which is in opposition to the Shari`ah/Islamic-Law.

One of the signature-proofs of this is simple: the story of the 5-righteous individuals who lived before the birth of Noah (Peace be upon him), the names of these persons were: Yaghuth, Ya`uq, Suwa`, Wadd, and Nasir.(Qasas-ul-Anbiya’/Stories of the Prophets, Abul-Fida’ Isma`il ibn-Kathir ad-Dimashqi) His people allowed themselves to be deceived by ash-Shaytan/the Devil, building monuments on their graves; but when the initial generation of people, who did this, died-off, their descendants weren’t informed as to why this was done. Therefore, ash-Shaytan had then encouraged them to take the commemoration of their reverence further, by celebrating firstly, the days of the births of these people, then, the deaths of these people, then, it went further & further, until these people were fully worship, aside from Allah, all together.(Qasas-ul-Anbiya’) And, this is why, Islamically, any & all acts of worship (particularly, in lieu of our discussion, to/for a dead-person) are automatically classified as Mahrum/Prohibited, unless there exists non-abrogated, textual, evidence, from either the Qur’an or the Sunnah/Prophetic-Tradition, which warrants the lawfulness of any & all acts.

Why do Muslims condemn Christmas but not al-Mawlid?

Considering the fact that both Christmas & al-Mawlid are meant to celebrate & commemorate the religious status of two Prophets, both dearly regarded, by both Muslims & Christians, this would actually mean that, if anything, the Muslims would have more of a right to celebrate Christmas than any other Christian…why? I’ll sure tell you why: one day, Muhammad had encountered Jews in al-Madinah (the 1st Islamic-State/Capitol of the Islamic-State, during the lifetime of Muhammad) & he was informed that they were fasting on the 10th-day of Muharram (the 1st-month of the Islamic-Calendar), popularly known as Yawmu-`Ashura’, or simply `Ashura’, literally meaning tenth, in Arabic.(Lisan-ul-`Arab) So, when he learned of this, naturally, Muhammad wanted to know why the Jews were doing this. And, they had explained to him that this fasting, on this day, is meant to commemorate the day that Allah had rescued the Children of Israel from the tyranny in Egypt, by the Reigning-Pharaoh of that time, and Moses (Peace be upon him) had fasted, to show gratitude to Allah. Upon being told this, Muhammad had mentioned that he has more of a right to fast on this day, than any of them.(al-Bukhari)

The reason why he said this is because of the fact that although the Jews religiously claim Moses, it is the Muslims whom are truly more adherent to the revelation that Allah had given Moses than any Jew. Likewise, if the Christians want to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, then, by nature, by default, the Muslims would be more justified, religiously, to celebrate Christmas, by virtue of the fact that Muslims are more in-line to the true teachings of Jesus than any Christian. However, most Muslims will not accept this, because, they’ll be quick to say, “Well Jesus is not our Prophet, Muhammad is.”. Yet, this is not the point: it doesn’t even matter whether or not Jesus was sent to us, as a Prophet or not. I mean, let’s go back to the `Ashura’-Issue: The Muslims were actually commanded to fast during `Ashura’, until Allah had revealed that the obligatory fasting-period for Muslims is during the month of Ramadhan.(Muslim)

So, in conclusion, I know that a lot of people (both Muslim & Non-Muslim alike) will have an opinion/opinions about this particular article. But, that’s okay…it’s just what I expect & this comes with the territory…it’s all in a day’s work. So, please, share your thoughts, concerns, criticisms (as I’m pretty sure that there will be many), and let’s get a discussion going about this entire issue.

Princess-Boy: The dual-product of Jinn-possession & horrible parenting!!!

Dyson Kilodavis pic

Author’s note:

Sadly, this concept, “Princess-Boy”, is just another desperate-attempt to push the Pro-Homosexual agenda, through indoctrinating our children, our youth, into accepting this deviant sexual-lifestyle. And, the irony is that this propagation for a lifestyle that people claim certain people are, naturally, born with, is being shoved down the world’s throats. Now, if Homosexuality is so “natural”, then, why is the necessity to push this agenda so fiercely done, to force the global-society to accept this lifestyle, as something to be deemed valid? If it were, in fact, a valid-lifestyle, from the jump, it would be something that wouldn’t have to be imposed upon others. Heterosexualty is as natural as breathing; yet, you don’t have people who are trying to force others to be Heterosexual, because Heterosexuality is something innately from the nature in which Allah, the Lord of the Universe, has instilled within us from birth.

I’m gonna start this off with the horrible-parenting aspect, first:

The concept of the “Princess-Boy” the euphemism for “Homo-In-Training”-

This emasculating concept was ironically incepted by the mother of a little boy, by the name of Cheryl Kilodavis-The boy in question, the first victim & casualty of this new battlefront on the “War on Heterosexuality”, is named Dyson Kilodavis. He had initially started to show an affinity to wear little-girl’s clothing. Now, instead of correcting her own son, by teaching him, educating him that he is not a girl, but, rather a boy, she not only encouraged it, but still encourages it, made a book about how she encourages her son to wear dresses, skirts, basically, girl’s clothing, and is now considered a champion for children’s individuality & is interviewed all over the place, gettin’ her pockets fat, from book-sales. Basically, she’s willing to ruin her own child, whom Allah had blessed her with, whom she carried for 9-months & could’ve died as a result of giving labor, all to just confuse & exploit him for the money, the power, the fame…what a FAIL. She’s basically, willingly, sell her own soul, as well as the soul of her own child, to the Devil, to be used as his minions, to push his deceptive pathological agendas, to push Mankind further away from the path of Allah & closer to the path to Hell.

Let’s talk about this boy’s father-

What type of father actually condones their own child, particularly their own son, to be paraded & exploited like this? It’s bad enough that the child is being encouraged to depart from his nature, from a fashion-perspective; but, at the same time, you’re trying to gain glory, acceptance, and profit, from this as well. Honestly, this is down-right shameless. Some people just don’t deserve to be parents, and anyone who allows their children to go against their nature are perfect examples of that. This is in no way the child’s fault: I do not, by any means, place blame upon the child, I blame his parents, or should I dare to say “parents”. Parents are to raise a child in the proper way that they should go, in this world, not to exploit them, to gain fame & riches, all in the name of encouraging them to be “outgoing”, or “individualistic”, or “different”. There are many, as well as other ways to ensure that little Dyson can express his difference & individuality, without exploiting him and/or encouraging him to turn his back upon the nature in which Allah has naturally placed him upon.

This scenario, alone, reveals so many different writings-on-the-walls. Muhammad (Peace be upon him) has taught us the following, “No one is born, except upon Fitrah/Nature (religious-nature: recognizing & accepting the existence/oneness of Allah, sexual-nature: being exclusively Heterosexual, civil-nature: being peaceful/law-abiding individuals, etc.). However, their parents (also environments, peers, etc.) make them either Jews, Christians, or Fire-Worshippers (as well as Homosexuals, sexual-deviants, criminals, etc.).”.(an-Nawawi) Don’t get me wrong, we all have the power of choice, via free-will, given to us, by Allah, and as such, are responsible for our own actions, after the age of Puberty (the period in which Allah commands the two Angels [assigned to every Human from birth to death] to record all of their either positive or negative actions).(Abu-Dawud, ibn-Majah) However, at the same time, that’s why we have parents: parents exists to show us the right way, to educate us, protect us & shelter us from evil, not to expose us to it, for fame and/or profit.

Jinn-Possession: It’s deeper than a Dress-

I would now like to begin speaking about a hidden-force, other than overtly horrible-parenting, greed, ambition, etc., which would/could drive an innocent little child to turn away from their prescribed nature, endowed to them, by Allah. This hidden-force is called Jinn-Possession, and no, I’m referring to some hollywood-style version of possession. I’m referring to actual possession of the Human, by unseen forces, which Allah speaks about in the Qur’an & that Muhammad (Peace be upon him) has spoken about in his Prophetic-Tradition, and I will mention & expound upon some examples.

The Devil & his unseen-cohorts defined –

The Devil, known in the Arabic-Language as ash-Shaytan/The Evil-One (Lisan-ul-`Arab/The Arabic-Language/Lexicon of the Arabic-Language, by Muhammad ibn-Manzhur), is from a separate creation of Allah, known as the Jinn. The word Jinn is from the word Jana, meaning to be invisible.(Lisan-ul-`Arab) The Jinn are very similar to Humans, by virtue of the fact that both the Human & Jinn possess free-will (the granted option to either serve Allah or not freely), unlike the other elements of creation whom have no free-will.(Noble Qur’an: Chpt.51, V.56) The Jinn were created from smokeless-fire.(Noble Qur’an: Chpt.55, V.15) After being evicted from the Paradise, as a result of refusing to prostrate to Adam, which was a direct-command from Allah, indicating that the Human being was the most-supreme of the Creation of Allah (Noble Qur’an: Chpt.2, V.30-34), he had made an oath to Allah that he would use every ability, that is at his disposal, to lead the Human being to destruction [both in the Mundane, as well as in the Hereafter].(Noble Qur’an: Chpt.7, V.16-18) Moreover, Allah warns against following the whisper of the Devil, by changing the nature of the creation of Allah.(Noble Qur’an: Chpt.4, V.119)

So, it should be of no surprise to anyone, especially not Muslims, when we hear of children whom are male saying that they are “female”, or children whom are female saying that they are “male”. Also, we should not be shocked when girls start behaving like boys & boys start behaving like girls, because this is all the work of the Devil. The unseen helpers of the Devil (known as the plural Shayatin) work very elusively, dastardly & covertly, in assisting the Devil to lead people away from the path of Allah, at the earliest of ages. In fact, according to the texts of Islam, there is a specific classification of the Shaytin, from among the Jinn, who specifically target & abuse (from the realm of the Unseen) women & children, but more specifically children, because children are more innocent/spiritually-vulnerable than grown-ups; also, due to the fact that they are purer than grown-ups, they are more keen to the ability to seen these Jinns & to interact with them. Unfortunately, most people, parents particularly/especially, ignore children when they say that they’ve seen certain things, like other beings unseen to everyone else, and just consider it figments of the imagination of children. Even the whole “imaginary-friend” concept is something that is inspired directly by interactions between Jinns & Human children.(Angels & Jinns, by Bilal Philips)

Now, I wanna bring it back to the parents-

As parents, the number-one right that all children have upon their parents is that they be indoctrinate, cultivated, upon guidance from Allah, via the Qur’an & Prophetic-Tradition.(Minhaj-ul-Muslim/The Methodology of the Muslim, by Abu-Bakr Jabir al-Jaza’iri) Also, as parents there are specific things which are obligatory to do even before the children are even born, and as an extension thereof, even before they are conceived. I’ll explain: Muhammad (Peace be upon him) had instructed us to make a specific verbal-prayer, before sexual-intercourse, to protect whomever we, with our respective spouses conceive together, to ensure that, with Allah’s help, they will be safe & secure from the harm of the Devil & his unseen-cohorts.(al-Bukhari) Now, by virtue of the fact that people, whom are Non-Muslims, do not pronounce this verbal-prayer, then, they put their unborn-children at an enormous risk to be harmed by the influences by the Devil & his unseen-cohorts. Likewise, Muslims, who do not pronounce this verbal-prayer, before sexual-intercourse, with their respective-spouses, they also, in turn, will also place their unborn-children at a greater risk to be harmed by the influences of the Devil & his unseen-cohorts.

So, in conclusion, my final wording is just to the parents of young Dyson Kilodavis, as well as other parents, like them, who think that is is “cute”…reality-check…it’s not cute!!! You’re ruining your own children, without reservation, without care, all because you just think that you can. Your children are not your property, they are the property of Allah. And, as such they have rights, and as I had already mentioned, their number right is to be cultivated upon goodness, which is not what I’m seeing here. So, please, do yourselves & your children a big-favor: repent for your horrible-parenting, become Muslims, and turn your children’s lives around, before it is too late.
