My thoughts on Loon (AKA Amir Junaid Muhadith):

Author’s note:

Loon, the former rapper turned Muslim, born Chauncey Lamont Hawkins, was arrested on November of 2011, while in Belgium. He has been officially accused by the U.S. government, of committing a crime in America & has since been extradited, from Belgium, to Germany, back to the U.S., imprisoned in a Federal facility-Ironically, they waited all of this time, until after he became a Muslim, as well as a religious motivational-speaker, who has the attention of millions of Muslims from around the world. There’s something very fishy going on, concerning the fact that they waited, all of this time, to accuse or prosecute Chauncey for any particular crime. Well, anyway, that’s how these grimy-ass Niggas do: They wait until you decide to turn your life around,  until you’ve achieved salvation through Islam, and, through religious motivational-speaking, acquired the respect, trust, love, and confidence of millions of Muslim youth from around the globe. Basically, because of this, they are doing whatever they can in order to destroy his character & to defame him, in order to destroy any & all positive role-models for Muslim youth.

This poem is for him, for you and for us:

“Stay Strong!!!”

My brother…
Stay strong…these trials of the Mundane will not last too long.
Allah knows that the enemies of Islam have done you wrong.

My brother…
Have hope in Allah, that He will vindicate you.
These charges set against you are just not true.

My brother…
They just want to defame you, so that our youth will have no one to look up to.
They can’t stand that you have turned towards Islam, that Allah has guided you.

My people…
Don’t believe the lies against our brother.
They just want us to distrust one another.

My people…
Ask Allah to help him during his trial, and trouble.
May Allah reduce their trumped claims to rubble.

My people…
Remember our brother in your prayers.
Ask Allah to secure him from his fears.

Dear Chauncey, Loon, Amir…
Don’t let these false charges & accusations make you blue!!!
Stay strong & have hope that Allah will protect & keep you.

  1. They’re trying to charge him with a crime from 2006? (they claim he had heroin back then) That sounds like a huge amount of BS, it sure looks like they’re going after him for being Muslim. Why wait until now?

I suspect there’s even more to the story, considering they hassle Muslim converts at the US border already.

  2. Beautiful words, Allah chooses the best of people to test, look at what Prophet Muhammed went through. Allah is the most Just and Brother Amir will be ok

    • ASsalamualaikum people, for this is indeed a trial frm our lord and a good one at that,he shud go and serve his term in american without fear and great trust in Allah(SWT) for so many persons wud come to islam while he his been there, becos of his new style of living-calm nature and great fear for Allah(SWT).His QurAan and hadith is what he needs for propagating islam there.for Allah(SWT)is All-Wise,Al-Knowing

  4. May Allah have mercy upon us and you. Sadly this is the wrong way to view this. If anything you should be happy for the brother Amir. Why:

“When Allah loves someone He test him.” Hadeeth

A test like this can strengthen his resolve and make him really question his decision to submit to Allah. In his test he will be more inclined to call on Allah for help like never before, seeking nearness to Him, The All Wise.

He lived a life of highness in disbelief. In disbelief the more you are raised in arrogance the more you are accepted and admired.

It is the opposite in Islam. The lower a slave goes in humbleness and submission the higher in rank he is raised by His Lord, The “Most High”. This is only by test and trial. By this all that is in the heavens and on earth love this slave and supplicate for him.

It is only a mercy from Allah to Amir that he is tested.

Allah, The All Mighty says translated:

[29:2] Do the people think that they will be left to say, “We believe,” without being put to the test?

[29:3] We have tested those before them, for GOD must distinguish those who are truthful, and He must expose the liars.

[29:4] Do those who commit sins think that they can ever fool us? Wrong indeed is their judgment.

[29:5] Anyone hoping to meet GOD, (should know that) such a meeting with GOD will most assuredly come to pass. He is the Hearer, the Omniscient.

[29:6] Those who strive, strive for their own good. GOD is in no need for anyone.

[29:7] Those who believe and lead a righteous life, we will certainly remit their sins, and will certainly reward them generously for their righteous works.

Lastly. The only reason he, Amir, was created was to worship Allah, alone, unseen. There is no other reason for his and our creation. It is the right of Allah that He test whom He wills as He pleases, The Most Compassionate, The All Wise. Safety and security are only with Allah, The Sublime.

[67:2] [He] who created death and life to test you [as to] which of you is best in deed – and He is the Exalted in Might, the Forgiving –

I mention all of this because I know Amir as he and I met in Egypt before this happened to him. Word then reached me after he was apprehended that he understood that Allah alone chose him for this type of test and for it he, Amir, felt honored and grateful to Allah. So I would not worry about Amir because like the prophets and the messengers before him, he understands that the only return is to Allah, The Inheritor and that He, Allah, does what He wills to whom He wills, The Exalted.

May Allah guide us to focus upon Him, The Tremendous and not upon the creation which always changes and whose realities change. Allah is the Truest Reality who will never change. It is Him we should focus upon at all times, for all needs. The creation is just what it is, a distraction and not the reality or the decider of anything at anytime or any place.

May Allah have mercy upon us and guide us to what pleases Him.

    Abu Muhammad al-Looweesiaani

  8. Thanks for visit my blog. My grandchildren either through blood or as step children are Anglo, Cuban/Italian, African American, African American/Cuban/Italian, Haitian/Cuban/Italian. I am Roman/Spaniard/Sicilian. My main concerns are for their safety as Miami, Florida is a scene of often drive by shootings, gang feud, black on black crime, young black males continue to be profiled and shot by police under less than proper pre action assessment and that they may be marked as felons for minor drug use if that becomes the case. These considerations should not be part of their lives in the United States of America. But simply because of their racial composition it is a matter they face each day. I do have 2 degrees in religious studies but know very little about Islam so will read your insights with interest. Peace out.
