Author’s note:
For those of you who may not have known, a young man, by the name of Trayvon Martin, a native of Orlando, Fl, was brutally & unjustly murdered, in cold-blood, by a member of the neighborhood-watch, in his Miami Gardens suburban community. Now, to add insult-to-injury, the murderer, George Zimmerman, has yet to be arrested, or indicted in the murder of Trayvon, who was unarmed at the time that he was murdered. This is such a serious issue. But, once again, this case is in serious danger of beig swept under the rug, because people have bought into this falsified utopian concept of a post-racial world, ever since Barack Obama has been a U.S. President.
I am Trayvon Martin!!!
It could’ve easily been me gunned down, like a dog, because of the color of my skin.
Law-enforcement would protect the murderers and give no justice to my kith and kin.
I am Trayvon Martin, too.
This could have been you.
To them, I’m just another Nigger, they would gladly celebrate my death, caused by my killer.
It’s the same the world over: the oppressed are criminalized, while the tyrant is made winner.
I am Trayvon Martin, too.
This could have been you.
It’s truly a shame that I must always live my life as a living target, with a bull’s-eye on my chest.
I’m constantly placed upon the edge, walking on eggshells, this keeps me paranoid & stressed.
I am Trayvon Martin, too.
This could have been you.
Why is the Black man always on the endangered-species list?
It’s like it’s my destiny, to forever be victimized in this matrix.
I am him and he is me.
It is truly a sad reality.

Very strong voice.
Reminds me of the “Bullseye” Symbol that “Public enemy” used back in the day. Even their name “Public enemy” reflected a “Social/Political dynamic that can not be denied. Black Youth has and is “Now” just as much as ever “An Endangered Species” A perpetual TARGET!! Tru Dat/Nuf said!! Beautiful, relevant piece Musa!! BRAVO!!
